Elena Rooms — Hotel in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

Booked for 2 nights early October. On approaching the hotel we were a bit dissapointed as the drive and grounds seemed a bit run down, however do not let this put you off. The hotel is run by a very friendly family who will go the extra mile to make sure everything is OK for you. The rooms are very nice. All very recently refurbished and to a high standard with everything you need and spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen, TV, WIFI, hairdryer, AC, well appointed bathroom, furnished balcony, comfy beds. Daily cleaning service. The hotel is based 15 minutes easy walk into Plakias with all its tavernas, shops, beaches, bars etc. You are also ideally placed to explore other attractions, Prevelli monastery and beach are 15 minutes drive away and there are several lovely villages, beaches and coves to explore in this area. One simple improvement that could be made here is that there is a lovely olive grove attached to the property and it would be lovely to have some tables and chairs and maybe a couple of loungers out there for the guests to while away some time under the shade...

My friend and I booked Elena Rooms at the last minute, our flight having been put back two days at short notice.||||On arrival we were given a friendly welcome and shown our room, which was very clean, stocked with essentials to make hot drinks, fridge, quite a good kitchenette with a three-spot hob (and a mini oven, I think? Didn't use it), a TV which we also didn't use, but both there there if you want them, wifi, and had a lovely terrace, bright, but shaded by some well-kept shrubs. It was a little small, compared to the apartment we'd just vacated, but perfectly good for a holiday, and was exactly as described, i.e. 'room' and not 'apartment'.||||There is a very good, panoramic view of the hills to the rear, though you would need to sit outside to enjoy it.||||The price was excellent. I enjoyed my stay at Elena Rooms. The hotel is located between Damnoni and Plakias. +/-3minutes away by car from Plakia center. Ideally located place for excursions. I booked and get a nice, spacy and very clean room with A/C and a kitchenet (well equiped for basic cooking and self made greek salads :)). I took my breakfast every day outside on the great room‘s terrasse. „Exotic“ trees and hedges are hiding the road . I heard the roadway noise when sitting outside (or inside with opened door)... but that didn‘t incommode me at all. The bed has a comfortable matress. TV with lots of european channels.
