Beach bar Mes tin ammo — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

First of all, I would say that this is purely and only a place for drinks. Only drinks. And bring the good company, cause you will not get it from the service.

As you can see on my picture it is a BIG difference between what you order and what you get. Basically I got a sandwich with cheese and some crisps. No veggies, no fries, no dip, hardly any filling besides the cheese.

Service didn't even try to pretend to like her job. It was like she hated every minute there, and maybe she does, and if so I'm sorry for her, but please don't take it out on us.

Weird thing about the toilets, where you have to go into an abandoned (?) building with clear signs of "No entry" and to very poorly taken care of toilets that didn't feel hygienic at all.

Drinks were OK. We had both alcoholic and non alcoholic (smoothies) and the smoothies were slightly better. None of them bad, but not standing out as exceptional either.

After we had eaten and had several drinks we went to the sunbeds. Within 2 minutes a guy was there asking us to buy something (implying purchase needed for using the free sunbeds). Even though he had been sitting right next to us during our lunch and must have known we just had ordered food and drinks past €50.

We left, and aren't...

The staff is quite friendly and the cocktails were good enough. A nice place to watch the sunset with a drink in hand.

But, the owner is an unfriendly, grumpy person. I visited this place 4-5 days in a row, every time having around 30-40 euros worth of cocktails. However, just because I used the toilet without buying anything on that specific day (and I was going to get something to drink literally after that), the owner saw that I went in there, looked at me as if I committed a crime and sent an employee to get 2 euros for the toilet. Well, let's say that that was the last time I was their customer. So yeah, being a continuous customer which already paid hundreds of euros in total, and which would have kept coming every night, means nothing.

Oh and the toilets are horrible. Apart from being dirty and having no toilet seats, half the time they were clogged and in some there were no toilet paper for multiple days. I suspect that the only reason they get away with it is that there aren't any other toilets nearby.

So, your experience will be a coin toss. Come at...

Absolutly love this place!! Great location with a fantastic view on the beach and the sea (we enjoyed a romantic sunset there twice), nice drinks (all fresh and handmade cocktails, you have to try them!!), humble but well prepared food (and very hot so watch it!) and an special shout out for the great service!! Dont know her name but the waitress was very kind, fast and not pushy at all... The owner, well.... he gives the place caracter and just the right atmosphere. At least, exactly the sphere that fits us..

A special shoutout to the music in Mes Tin Ammo Beach Bar: The guy should have his own playlist on Spotify/ Apple Music... a perfect mix of summervibes meets jazz/ 80's/Soul/alltimefavourites
