Our favourite part of the lovely long sandy beach of Plakias. Sadly, this year we were told we could not sit in the shaded sitting area of the beach bar as we would wet the chairs. We were at the time absolutely dry, the kids had gone off to the beach and were about to order (NOT the cushioned sofa but the plain chairs on which we had spent many lovely mornings and evenings swimming and eating and drinking in the past). So we could only sit in the not so shady and overcharged sunbeds (10 euros for 2 on the beach house as opposed to 6 euros in the next beach bar). Read moreAt the time we were there, which was two times in total, ot wasn't busy. I thought it would be way more touristic, but it wasn't. I didn't like the fact that there were no bathrooms - I was on my period (sorry guys, but women just have this thing once a month, usually..) and it was a problem changing. We also didn't see many other facilities.
What I really liked though, is that the beach is quite big and at the end of the boulevard is another, smaller beach which is nicer to snorkel :-) this part doesn't have sunbeds and parasols though, but if you don't mind this I'd recommend...

Last year we were enjoying super cockatalis and some good food from this place and everything was very good (except knifes from blender in one of the coctails). But this year we tried to eat and drink something and it was very very disappointing. The sandwich made from pieces of dry meat, ugly cheese and dry bread was the worst thing I ever had in whole Greece (6 or 7 euro). For the 25 euro spent there we get almost nothing... so it is better to go to...
