I had one of the most heartwarming meals at Plakias Bay Restaurant. The lamb I had here was absolutely delicious – it reminded me of home, like I was back in my mother’s kitchen in Belgrade, Serbia. There was something so soulful about the taste, the tenderness, and the way it was served – I truly felt transported.

Thanks to my dear friend who brought me here – it turned out to be a beautiful surprise and a deeply emotional experience. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere was full of that authentic Greek vibe, peaceful and warm, yet vibrant.

There’s a special connection I felt between Greece and Serbia in this place. It’s more than just food – it’s a feeling of belonging.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in Crete. Plakias is my last location to visit and I came to this restaurant 3 times already always to try another dish.

The service is friendly, the food is flavorful, fresh and there are so many authentic options it’s hard to choose. (Fair prices)

In all occasions, I have tried from Vine leaves, Greek salad, to Meze plate as starters, had the fried fish, the Garlic shrimp(very meaty ones) and lastly the grilled calamari as main dishes.

I cannot recommend this place enough! We went there after visiting Skinaria Beach and were not disappointed. The restaurant has a lovely garden terrace, but because of the heat we chose to eat inside. The host was super friendly and the food was amazing.
