It’s wonderful because the rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable, you can eat breakfast lunch and dinner right on the sea front if you wish, the staff are very friendly and professional with great English, the food is great and the beach is less than a minutes walk away…… the nearest beach is safe, clean and beautiful and many more wild and wonderful beaches are within walking distance. We have been visiting Plakia many times for the last 25 years. First time we discover this local tavern in Rhodakino ( about 12 km from Plakia) more or less by accident. That was like 20 years ago. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience in this restaurant. Even though the view is breathtaking, the value for the price is unreasonable especially in comparison to many other cretan restaurants (after a week traveling through crete) The nice view did not make up the low quality food and the weird atmosphere regarding the service. We were really surprised about the good google reviews after we had dinner there cause we honestly cannot relate to guest being satisfied with the food...
