I had been looking for a secluded and off the beaten path beach . I was recommended to look for Peristeres beach that sits between a cove .
Beach is sandy with some pebbles but above all it is quiet . Only a few locals and childless tourists in search of quiet harmony . There are some umbrellas and tanning beds that are free of charge and I believe belong to the tavern that sits right in the edge of beach . A great taverna to get some coffee , waters and even lunch .
What I was looking for had been found . A beach worth spending the entire afternoon without noise .
Parking is available , although arriving early to get a spot would be advised .
Word of advice : This is not an easily accessible beach , limited or no aignage that I saw but most importantly the road can be a combination of bumpy dirt roads & many one way roads . So , drive slowly...
Read moreA small beautiful sandy beach. There is a restaurant near the beach. Parking is possible next to the restaurant. The water is crystal clear in case of north or west wind. In the case of a south wind, the water becomes slightly muddy. At a low depth the bottom of the beach is sandy, at a slightly greater depth it is pebbled. There are some parasols on the beach, but they are occupied fairly quickly. Worth a little earlier visit, believe me ... ;-) From the "village" of Plakias we needed 40 minutes, but still worth it .....
