We were extremely impressed by our stay at Karkisia hotel. First, we were amazed by the room we were given, which had amazing sea view from the balcony (I suggest to ask for one of the rooms with a sea view). They visited our room daily to change the shower mat and empty the rubbish bins and our towels and bed sheets were changed every other day. The room was spacious with a small kitchen and a/c. The ladies at the reception were extremely friendly, especially Christiana, who really helped us to explore Amorgos, by suggesting the best beaches, restaurants, bars, etc, from a local's point of view. The hotel is in a very convenient location in Aegiali, within short walking distance to the port of Aegiali, as well as the bars, restaurants, shops, bakeries and Tholaria beach, with the advantage of no noise disruptions. The hotel is clean and well-kept in general, with beautiful flowers and a caring owner, who fixed our shower hose using her own initiative. The only downside was that the hotel does not have its own parking and it was hard finding a parking space the first couple of days, we then used the parking down by the port. Overall, the hotel choice, together with the help from Christiana and Moschoula definitely improved our trip in...
Read more😊: Beautiful, large, newly equipped studio. Fantastic balcony with amazing views. Big,comfy bed. Linens changed regularly. Handy for everything. Worth putting up with a few glitches for.. 😢: Beautiful new kitchen but unfortunately very badly equipped. We like to cook several times a week ,just for a change. There was just one, enormous knife for everything and no chopping board or plate big enough to prepare food on. . Biggest " soup" pan ever with 3 huge ladles- very amusing really in a studio for 2 ! Nice frying pan but you couldn't fit both on the stove top at the same time. No mugs, just tiny coffee cups. We were given an electric kettle as there was only a coffee maker. ( which looked lovely but we don't...

Karkisia is nicely located in the heart of Aegiali allowing you to move on foot to the beach, the village's nightlife and the bus station. The room we were given was probably a family room as it was fairly huge, with small kitcenette and small balcony with lovely view. The girls in the lobby were very accomodating and pleasant. The rooms are simple, adequately clean but a bit shabby and old fashioned. Our booking did not include breakfast service so cannot comment on that. All in all, Karkisia is good enough for a stay in Aegiali but maybe a bot overpriced compared to its...
