Went as fancied something not Greek after two weeks of being here.

Bad mistake. While the spring rolls were OK they were served with a very small amount of sweet chilli and soya sauce, not enough of either.

Then we waited 35-40 mins for our mains, and while we were not in rush this was rather long, particularly as spring rolls came in 5 mins.

My wife had a chicken wrap, nice flat bread and fresh salad. Not bad.

My Pad Thai arrived. I had been asked if i wanted it spicy which I had said yes too, and it was hardly spicy at all. It was thick with a sauce that tasted like a super market packet, overly sweet and way too much. There was limited chicken in it and I left most of the dish. If you want Asian I suggest trying else where. The burgers however looked pretty decent, so maybe...

Located in Aegiali, just a few steps up from the harbour, you will find the restaurant "Falafel" that we safely can say served us the best meal we have ever had on Amorgos. Don't be fooled by the name thinking this is just another restaurant serving dry falafel in a sad pita. Not this one, for what a cuisine. First the basics. The owner was very friendly and the restaurant was very cozy. The food: we were two adults sharing one plate with grilled vegetables and grilled halloumi cheese. It came with hummus and lebanese mountain bread. The second plate, yes we were hungry, was long time cooked veal with smoked eggplant purre. Both dishes were epic. Long story short: we...

We took carbonara + local sausage (9€/each) + drinks. The waiteress told us it would take 15/20min to cook. 1h15 later (and only 4 clients in the restaurant) we told the waiter that we were hungry with a smile, her answer was « what can I do, I’m not in the kitchen! ». I don’t know, maybe you can ask when it is going to be ready, apologize for the delay... When the plates finally arrived they were just basic: two sausages with green salad + some kind of carbonara. How could it take that much time ?... Definitely not worth it. We should have left the place after 1...

I stayed in Aegali for 2 weeks and went to this place every day! If you're a coffee addict as I'm, they have a relatively good cappuccino! I tried almost all the menu (it's not too big) - all food is very scrumptious and fresh! My fave: shakshuka and a wrap with grilled cheese for breakfast! Chicken nuggets and grilled veggies are the best for lunch/dinner! Both ladies who work there are veryyyyy friendly and welcoming. P.S. They have a strong wi-fi and a balcony with a shade if you're working remotely.

Very good restaurant. Greek kitchen with an 'oriental touch'. Very nice waiter. I had read that the vegetarian curry dish was so good, but they didn't have it the evening I are here. But I think that most of what they offer is excellent. That was the case for the dish I ordered (chicken with vegetables, curry and baked potatoes- which they called 'French fries'). The low tables and seats probably are not everybody's favourite - I didn't find them very comfortble either. Normal prices.
