Pepper Sea Club Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Apokoronas

We had an excellent stay at Pepper Sea Club Hotel. It opened the 1st of July 2020 so it's brand new. The decoration and furniture are chosen with taste and style, making the hotel friendly and welcoming.

We arrived late at night after a long trip and we have been warmly welcomed by the staff. They had saved a plate of food for us, which was welcome !

The room was as described, well soundproofed, especially with the outdoor. Everything is techologic : the curtains opening and closing are electrical, they - as the lights, do not disturb and ask for housekeeping - can be controlled from an app, as well as the expenses in the hotel (food, drinks, snacks) that are always up to date. The bed was confortable, the room very clean. We appreciated the free small bottle of sparkling wine.

The swimming pool area is great, with confortable sunbeds all aroud, cute 'cages' and a direct access to the sea with a small private sandy beach. There are a snack and a cocktail bars, freshly made by the barman. The staff is likeable.

The food is good. There are big buffets for breakfast and dinner, with a large variety (several types of bread, 3-4 different meats, rice, noodles, soup, a kretan corner with some specialties, a lot of deserts, fruits...). Nothing is missing ! Because of Covid-19, the staff serves the guests. It takes a little while and the food is not that warm when you sit, but they can't do better with the current situation. They are brave presenting every dish to every guest !

Don't go to this hotel if you're looking for places to go out at night, shopping places or a city center, as apart from other hotels, there is almost nothing around. But if you want a quiet place in front of the sea where you can relax, just as we wanted, then you're at the right place !

Everyday, there are some activities, such as yoga, aquagym, stretching, and ping-pong. Yanis is an excellent animator and teacher. He is always smiling, friendly, does guest relations, connects people together and makes sure everyone feels good. He brings a lot of joy and positive energy around, and he mainly contributes to the warm and friendly atmosphere of the hotel.

Our big up goes to the staff, who does a great job ! They are welcoming, kind, polite, and make every guest feel special. They work hard and for long hours in the sun, but always with a smile on their face and kind words.

This hotel is modern, clean and friendly designed only for adults but it does have its faults, some minor some major. Room sizes differ, some are much smaller than others and not suitable for double occupancy. Our room was large fortunately. Beach towels are supplied in a sturdy beach bag and left in your room along with a coffee/tea maker but you have to purchase pods to use after the first day. Bottled water is given fresh on a daily basis as are towels. Towels need to be bath sheets and not bath towels, they are small. The room has electronic curtains and blinds but unfortunately the room is never dark, black out blinds are needed. There are two sets of lights which are permanently on, green and red which gives a glow to a darkish room. |The pool is large but exceptionally dangerous and slippery. I myself slipped and fell along with several others. I reported it to reception and they were more than helpful asking if a doctor needed to be called. The pool urgently requires a not slip surface asap. The sun beds are plentiful but far too low. There are several with wheels which are much higher and more suitable to older clients. A jetty to the beach needs to be made available. The pathway is just stones and shingle until you reach sand.|A free mini bus every hour or so could be made available to Kournas - it is well over 20minutes walk to the nearest town. |We were advised by a waiter when we asked for tap water that water was not suitable to drink (rubbed his tummy) and to purchase bottled water - at 4 euros a bottle was rather expensive especially as we learnt on our return tap water was completely safe to drink.|The food in the restaurant could not be faulted, in fact it was pentiful, appetizing with so many choices - excellent. |Would recommend room 611 - which is large with a sea view but definitely not 615 which is small and is a double but suitable only for single occupancy. Our daily maid was exceptionally good, hard working and so friendly, definitely give her 5*+ |All staff were friendly, helpful...

Just spent a week at the Pepper Sea club and can’t fault it. From the moment we arrived late and tired we were given a drink and ushered into the restaurant to grab some food before it closed. The staff are all fantastic, from the lovely cleaning staff, the hotel is spotless to the restaurant and bar staff, always smiling, to the reception staff, so helpful. |The hotel is in a lovely spot, walking distance (15-20mins) to a village with shops snd tavernas, along the beach during the day, as its cooler, and a short taxi ride (9euros) to Georgioupoli, a seaside town. The food is well presented and excellent, both breakfast (everything you can think of and freshly prepared omelettes) and dinner plus one visit per stay is given free to the a la carte restaurant (some dishes carry a charge, but there is plenty of choice for those included in the free visit) with tables next to the sea, where there’s a spectacular view of the sunset. The food here is equally good. The rooms are well appointed with lovely design touches, exotic wall murals and monkey bedside table lamp (we were in room 612, amazing sea view) plus state of the art control pads for lights and curtains. The bathroom shower is roomy and efficient. There was entertainment every night except Sunday which was surprisingly good for a hotel. The only downside is the lack of beach adjacent to the hotel large enough for sunbeds. Although there is an entrance to the sea it is very stony, but once in it is sand. Beds (very comfortable beds) are positioned next to the sea on decking but unfortunately they go very quickly with the age old problem of saving beds, despite the hotel’s valiant efforts to stop this, by sending emails daily. There are however enough beds to go round just not right next to the sea. The beach accessed across the stones to the left at the back of the hotel is long and mainly sandy, it is possible to walk a long way.|We wouldn’t normally choose to be abroad during kids summer holidays but choosing this adult only break meant we had a throughly enjoyable, relaxing stay at this...
