Efilenia Luxury Villas — Hotel in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

The villa itself was clean, modern, and well-equipped, with the bonus of a private pool and parking space. It’s also conveniently located near a supermarket, which made shopping easy. However, there are several major downsides. The surrounding area felt quite rundown and unpleasant—far from the holiday atmosphere we expected—and it’s also quite far from Corfu town. Another disappointment was the lack of garden lighting, which meant we couldn’t enjoy dinner outside in the evenings. On top of that, we had two unpleasant experiences with the owner/property manager. Upon arrival, the key was missing from the main locker because the maid forgot to leave it, so we had to wait about 15–20 minutes for someone to bring a spare. The next day, I received a rude phone call accusing me of not paying for the stay. They insisted on bringing a card machine immediately and claimed my bank (which is based in Ireland) had sent an email in Greek saying I hadn’t approved the payment—a very strange claim. After I called my bank, confirmed the payment, and provided all the details, the owner casually laughed it off, saying the issue wasn’t even about me but someone else, while Melina, the property manager, kept texting me to pay. I felt completely disrespected throughout this interaction. This is an amazing villa ! So well equipped ideally located for local bars and restaurants, a supermarket around the corner and a bus stop into Corfu town. We did have an issue with a power cut but Melina was very responsive and ensured it was fixed....
