This place was our worst meal during our trip to Corfu. In summary, the drinks were disgusting and overpriced, the service was bad, the seating arrangements were shocking - being forced to sit within a sweaty marquee on a hot day, and they gave me food poisoning (pork gyros).
I am really surprised about any positive reviews on this place and wonder if these are bots or if the restaurant changed owners recently?
We went here on a Saturday night and were assigned an awful table. We requested to sit outside, but were led to a table located within a sweaty plastic marquee (despite the temperature 20ºC).
Food I ordered a Greek dish, Pork Gyros. They were not delivered from the main kitchen, they came from some Gyros takeaway shack nearby, but charged restaurant prices. The pork was in small clumps, inconsistently cooked pieces, rubbery and mostly inedible. I got food poisoning as a result, and was dangerously ill the next day.
Drinks We ordered some drinks - Peach Spritz and Apple Spritz (€10 each) - they were bad. I sent the Apple Spritz back, it tasted like cheap apple liquor, watered down in ice. You can see the photos attached, the spritz's were served in wine glasses without any lime/lemon. This is nowhere near good enough considering they cost €10 each. My drink was replaced with a beer from the tap, which was almost as disappointing, the beer was flat. When I went to pay, they tried to charge us for the undrinkable Apple Spritz, they had not removed it from the bill. I had to argue with the guy at the till to remove this from the bill - and after some shouting with that guy in Greek at other staff, it was removed (terrible customer experience).
Service After eating, staff took over 15 minutes to clear out plates from the table. They were not apologetic after sending back an...

A basic room with twin beds, a fridge air con and a bathroom with shower. ||Bottled water, melba toast and jam, tea bags, coffee and a kettle for self catering and Nina provided water daily and also popped round with muffins.||The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean.||There was a lovely little patio attached to the cabin.||I loved the location though it is not in a particularly touristy spot but was handy for cafes and a supermarket, local buses to Corfu town or up the coast and a large marina with restaurants and bars round the corner.||I hired a bike to reach the beaches which are about 10 minutes walk away and the sea is very safe, shallow and warm without currents in this area.||This was a handy location for travelling to town to take boat trips. I opted for a sail to Paxos. ||I would like to return here for more than 5 days to explore the island and take a trip to Albania which looms above the coast and is only a stone's throw away.||If you are travelling on a tight budget I can highly recommend this place. Nina Is a marvellous host and interested in her visitors travels and experiences.||As a solo traveller it was ideal: I felt safe and welcome in Kontokoli.||The only problem I had on this trip was with mosquitos. Within the cabin it was fine as Nina provides electric mosquito repellents. However, although I got many bites from sitting out in the evenings (they bit between the Deet stripes!) I did not have any infected bites or any...
