Telesilla Lounge “Bites & Cocktails” — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

First off, greeted at door warmly. Made to feel very welcome by friendly head waiter Michail. I've probably spelled that wrong. Ordered drinks super happy how we were looked after, even offered mosquito spray just in case. Started with selection of bread that came out piping hot. Onto the mains and definitely not disappointed there either. Chef was spot on and food was cooked well and had lots of flavour. Had cocktails and ordered dessert. Nice choice presented well. Got to end of the meal and completely wiped out. Wanted someone to carry me home. Atmosphere was lovely and friendly and music playing was great too. Now to the point. We've eaten in a few other restaurants this week and although family run tavernas probably they seemed like they were winding down at the end of the season with choice or availability. Also they all seemed to be knocking out pretty much the same dishes. Telesilla 100% had an edge as it wasn't all greek or grill. Way more to choose. This place is a great Gem in Kontokaliz Blasted with a nice bracy decor and a pool this place offers a relaxing atmosphere. It is part of the hotel but open for the public tor food drinks and you can even dip in the pool. They offer breakfast buffet usually from 0800 till 1000 then a lunch and dinner menu. We arrived just before the kitchen closed yet they were so happy to serve us. That was a lifesaver ! We had traditional cuisine: the Sofrito: a tender veal with rice and a nice garlic sauce. The vegetarian Bourou- Bourou: is an absolute mouth watering mix of veggies in a tomatoe sauce. A must try !!! We had the chocolate brownie that comes with a big scoop of ice cream, it wa very suttle not too sweet and good portion to share. We e didnt have any cocktails but they looked sizzling!! Price wise: portion and quality is good value

Walked past this place a couple of times, went inside once and were so impressed that we went for dinner the following evening. What have we been missing? Stepped in the second evening and the front of house staff were amazing, remembering us from the previous evening, don't know if that's good or bad, but they were so welcoming, like a friend returning. The food was amazing as was the service, an ouzo and a lemoncello, free, was gratefully accepted, and the evening went by in a flash. We cannot fault the food, the customer service was even better and we're just sorry it took us so long to find out. Definitely recommend...
