Good Ideal location for me as it is waking distance from hospital Quite area Comfortable bed Clean and tidy room Room has mini kitchen facilities with plates, cutlery...ideally for warming fd and making salad etc. Allowed me to check in early Hara the breakfast lady was very friendly eventhough I wasn't happy with the breakfast Bad experience Very poor basic breakfast.. nothing decent to eat apart from bolied eggs. Filtered coffee is Luke warm and water has strong smell of chlorine. Very disappointed as one of the reason I chose is place is to have breakfast so I can save money from eating out all day but I end up eating out or making my own coffee and breakfast in my room and mostly just their bolied eggs. Thin wall, can hear everything from other rooms Eventhough cleaning service is good and the ladies are friendly i had a problem with the cleaning ladies making too much noise chatting loud and constant phone rings, no consideration about the person staying in the room. I happened to stay on second floor where the cleaning storage is so I used to get constant disturb from them on the days I stayed in my room especially when i wanted to sleep after my hospital apt. They use one of the available room on second floor as a base so they tend to hang around the corridors till after lunch. I also noticed when I used the stairs to go down the cleaning ladies constantly leave their coffee cups, cigarettes on the stairs which is health hazards where I had to tell them to move them so I can use the stairs, also they put the bed cleaning rubbish by the stairs. They need be professional and treat the place as a hotel not personal home. Poor communication at the reception they failed to give me the new door access code so was locked out but luckily other clients let me in. Reception closes in the evenings and not around all the time Far from metro station, not much to do or eat out around the area if you are here for holiday Strong smell that hits you at the lobby when you enter the hotel with dated furniture. Wasn't a good first impression of the hotel but luckly my room was clean and fresh. I stayed for 9 days hence...
Read moreElements is located in the suburb of Chalandri which is around seven miles to the north east of Athens.||It is not close to any metro stations so buses down the busy Kifisias Avenue are the transport option into Athens.||I used buses A7, E14 and 550 from the Ygeia bus stop. The buses were invariably very crowded and it was uncomfortable and quite a long journey due to the heavy traffic (around 45 minutes).||I found the receptionist on my arrival to be rude and quite hostile. She proceeded to treat me like a child.||My room was small but the bed was comfortable. It contained a kitchenette plus a bin that had not been emptied. ||I put my valuables in the safe and I was unable to reopen it, so I had to get the unhappy receptionist to open it with the master key. I did not attempt to reuse it again during my stay.||The shower worked OK for the first two days but on the last day, I had to wash using the tap as I couldn’t get it to operate.||Breakfast, for which I paid an extra €9 per day, was very basic.||Some slices of ham and cheese., a few pieces of fruit, dried apricots and some pastries.||I ended up having plain yogurt with honey, a couple of slices of cake and some fruit juice.||On the plus side, the housekeeping was good (apart from the full bin on day one). Bottles of water were supplied free of charge in the refrigerator.||I note that several correspondents used the hotel as it’s close to nearby hospitals. It is also close to the 2004 Olympic stadium. However, it really isn’t the place to stay for central Athens.||The airport is around 17 miles away and there are several routes to take using buses and the Metro or suburban trains. Taxi is arguably a better option.||I paid just over £205 for three nights. Reasonably cheap but by no...
Read moreVery different experience than the "island welcoming and good nature". The rooms are a bit run and the walls are not very clean. Also, the walls are very thin and you can hear the neighbors easily. In terms of the staff, in one full week I stayed there, I don't think I've seen one singe smile. On the contrary. They are quite agressive and on the edge. The breakfast is nothing compared to what I have experienced on the island even though the price is even higher. It basically consists of some warmed up pastries and concentrated orange juice. I gave up on the breakfast after a few mornings and got myself a proper one from a nearby place. The place was also surprisingly expensive actually and for a neighborhood with several office buildings, there aren't many hotel options within walking distance, hence the price tags. My advice...get something further away but better and cheaper and commute using uber. It will be cheaper in the end and the breakfast will definitely be an upgrade. Keep in mind that this neighborhood doesn't have a subway station nor a decent bus network so taxi/uber are your...
