Disappointing Experience at ALIO
I made a Christmas reservation for tomorrow's lunch at ALIO, booking for an outdoor table as the only option available. While it wasn't our preferred seating, we were fine with it, especially since my sister uses a wheelchair, and the outdoor area was more accessible. I was reassured at the time of booking that in case of rain, we would be safe, as there were both heaters and umbrellas to keep us comfortable.
However, today when I called to confirm the arrangement, I was told by a different person that if it rains, we would not be able to sit outside. He seemed to realise this contradicted the information I had received last week and kindly transferred me to the colleague I spoke to initially. Unfortunately, this is where the experience went downhill.
The employee I was transferred to was not only dismissive but also rude. She completely changed her narrative about the rain situation and the availability of indoor seating. When I asked for her name to address the issue formally, she refused to provide it, citing a company policy that prevents employees from sharing their names. This response was not only unhelpful but also extremely frustrating.
For your reference, I logged the call at 7:25 PM, so you can identify the individual I spoke with. As a result of this poor service, I decided to cancel my reservation. I have dined at both ALIO and Psomi k Alati numerous times, and have always had a great experience, which makes this incident even more disappointing. I believe the person handling reservations needs proper training or perhaps even replacement, as this poor customer service experience tarnished what should have been a special occasion.

IMPORTANT: Please ready the whole review in order to get a proper understanding of my rating I tried Alio on 07/02/2021 through online delivery service. I had the Arancini and the Pepperoni pizza. The arancini are coming on top of a rocket pesto and goat cheese and they are very tasty. Minus one star though because you could feel that they had absorbed too much oil. I believe a more careful deep frying was in order. The pepperoni pizza was excellent. Very well cooked, tasty and quality ingredients. I really enjoyed eating it and I would certainly try more pizzas from the menu. However note that the pizzas are on the pricier side and are not very large but for me the extra cost is certainly worth it. The reason I awarded 3 stars and not 4 is something that is not dependent on the restaurant itself but it is something that the restaurant should look out for nonetheless. The online delivery service they are using had to make another stop in the Mall before coming to my place. Since you can track how long they are staying somewhere, I saw that they stayed there for more than 10 minutes and as a result my pizza arrived rather lukewarm which I say ruined a part of my experience. Read moreTHE RESTAURANT HAS A NO-KID-BABY-STROLLER POLICY. I went on Monday with my wife and our little baby in a stroller. The person-in-charge told us that they are fully booked. We left the restaurant and called them IMMEDIATELY and ask for a table and - surprise surprise - they DID have free tables. So their problem was obviously our little baby with the stroller. I went back and told them that this is not polite and should tell to anyone about their policy. UPDATE DUE TO RESTAURANT'S REPLY Have you asked the person-in-charge? He has never EVER told me that there is a place inside for me and for our stroller. He simply told us that "everything is booked", no explanation. I literally called you 30 seconds later and not only he told me that there is an available table, but he didn't even need my name for the reservation because , as he said, "we have two available tables in the front yard". Forgot to mention that after the call, I visited again your place and tell to the person-in-charge that it is not good what he have done because we had a stroller - he told me that you had a cancellation ( two cancellations in 30 seconds!!) but he didn't mention anything about the stroller as you tell to your comment below.
