I absolutely do not recommend this hotel, and I want to share my negative experience so that other travelers can avoid the same issues. We booked our stay in Crete from September 4 to September 10, 2024, through Perfect Stay, including flight, accommodation, and half-board. We arrived late at night (around midnight) on September 4, and everything seemed fine until the day of departure. On the morning of September 10, after having breakfast and enjoying the beach, we were interrupted by a receptionist during our meal. He informed us that checkout was at 11 AM, even though it was 2:30 PM. With our flight scheduled for 7:30 PM, we intended to stay at the hotel until our transfer at 4:50 PM took us to the airport. I had never been informed of this checkout time, and I never received the message that the hotel claimed to have sent. The receptionist then insisted we pay for an extra night, claiming that another guest needed to occupy the room. However, when I asked where this guest was, he could not answer. This behavior shows a complete lack of professionalism and clearly indicates a lack of coordination between the hotel and Perfect Stay. Furthermore, it is absurd to charge for an extra night when we had booked a half-board stay, with services supposed to align with our flight schedule. Regarding the hotel itself, the experience was equally disappointing. The smell of sewage was pervasive, whether in the room or in the breakfast area. The room’s air conditioner made unbearable noise, making nights very difficult. Additionally, the food offered was far from varied. The same dishes were served every day, which quickly became tedious. Finally, I want to point out that the photos visible on Google do not reflect the reality of this hotel. In reality, it is old, poorly maintained, and in no way meets the expectations one might have for such an establishment. I strongly advise against this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-organized stay. It is clear that their management is neither respectful nor professional, and it greatly spoiled the end of our stay.

I higly recommend Anna Maria Village. We visited the hotel in May for our wedding, we stayed there one week. The hotel is located in Hersonissos, about 30mins by car from Heraklion. The rooms are really nice, cleaned shiny everyday. We had there breakfasts and dinners as well. Everyday there was a big variety of food, which was delicious and a way better from the others hotels which we have visited. Especially on the dinner, which in my opinion is worth to take as you stay there. You can try the greek food and also seafood. There were always several main dishes to choose, some sweets, fruits and other. The service was really great, starting from the barman and finishing with the waitresses. The view from the hotel rooms is nice. There is the swimming pool available as well and the hotel is located only about 10mins by feet from the seaside. The nature which is surrounding the property is beautiful with many flowers. Late check in is not a problem - you just need to let the owner know about it. The hotel is being managed by an amazing family, who can help you with everything what is needed. Manolis did everything for us to have a comfortable holiday and made us feel that we are friends from a long time. Thank you once again for everything! Ευχαριστώ πολύ, όλη περάσαμε πολύ ωραία! 😊

We spent two weeks at this hotel at the beginning of September 2022. This was our second visit, the first was 12 years ago. Over the years, the hotel has been completely renovated, our room was new and modern, everything was clean and in order: shower, TV, air conditioning (one of the best in my experience, quiet and efficient), furniture. The maids do their best (don't forget to tip them). Breakfast was almost the same every day, but the choice of dishes was sufficient for us. Dinners were different and of good quality, trays of dishes were constantly replenished. The hotel area is clean and green. For a three-star hotel (not one-star, of course), I can confidently give the maximum rating. Special thanks to Loukas, he did everything to make our stay as pleasant and hassle-free as possible. We bought some groceries from a nearby supermarket, sometimes we went to Lidl (20-25 minutes). Hersonissos is a 25-minute walk along the sea. About the beaches. The best beach is nearby, in a bay under a cliff (on the photo). Clear water, no waves, sandy beach. Two sun loungers with an umbrella cost 10 euros. On the beach you can order drinks, cocktails, for a very reasonable price. The cost of a taxi transfer to Heraklion Airport is 40 euros (was 35 euros but has risen in price).

My partner and I stayed at the hotel for 4 weeks in September/October 2024. We chose the hotel as it appealed to us as a family run hotel rather than the larger 5* hotels that surround it. Our first room D7 looked onto a little courtyard area which was pretty, however, it was shaded all day, and you were looking directly at your neighbours. We asked if it would be possible to move as we were there for an extended time and the reservations manager was so accommodating and friendly. We were given a choice of rooms when they became available 3 days later and opted for F3 which was at the bottom of the private villa, it was far bigger, and the bathroom was more modern. We requested a mattress topper for the bed and found it really comfortable for our stay. The unheated pool was empty most of the days until mid afternoon and there was no issue getting a lounger, no-one 'reserved' beds with their towels. I actually found it more enjoyable beside the small children's pool as this was not used the majority of our holiday and had the comfort of shade from the trees. Our stay was half board and we found the food was very good quality and plenty of options daily. The outside bar was closed but you could order drinks that the staff would bring from the adjoining restaurant. The hot drinks were available at breakfast but not in the evening, there are kettles and cups and saucers in the rooms as well as a fridge. The staff were very nice, some more chatty than others but all equally polite and approachable. There is one bus a day in each direction from the stop outside the neighbouring hotel, a 3 minute walk at max. The bus to Hersonissos cost 2 Euro in each direction and continues on to Aghios Nikolaos. The tour booking shop next door has very competitive prices and we found some much cheaper than with our holiday booking company. For those that enjoy watching television, the ones in the rooms have limited English speaking channels, just the news ones but the internet connection is good enough to stream programmes onto portable devices. The housekeeping staff were very cheery and friendly, they work very hard to keep the rooms clean each day. We very much enjoyed our lengthy, totally relaxing stay and were pleased with our choice of hotel and location. There were many nationalities at the hotel over the course of 4 weeks which may account for...

We stayed here for ten days and overall had a good time|There were a few negatives but mainly positives|Our room was very dark but worse,we woke up after getting there at night on our first night scratching like mad and realised when we woke up it was infested with mosquitos, my husband had 150 bites lumps all over his back legs and arms I had about 60 in the day time we could see over 100 in our apartment on the walls and in the bathroom we expected a few but the room was literally infested|We had a word with a man on reception about it he shrugged and said its crete what do you expect and told us to buy repellent at the spa I didn't think he was very helpful as I said there's over 100 in there not the odd few |I do think the room should have been fumigated but it wasn't going to happen so my husband bought a Can of spray and killed them all it was a mosquito grave yard, things did improve after that 2nd day but the bites were terrible |The bathroom has an open drain so I think this attracts the mosquitos |We had no patio door so no natural light or air came in as we had to keep the windows shut due to the mosquitos |The shower was good but tiny area you can't wash properly |Good points |The food was good|Pool area lovely |The stray cats were lovely you could see that the staff feed them and alot of guests including ourselves |The staff working in the breakfast and dinner room are really nice and friendly as are the cleaners they all work really hard |Surrounding Area is lovely, it's quiet but not far from the old villages or Hersinossos, the hotel is very close to a beautiful beach, we walked into Hersinossos twice |I'd like to give a special thank you to the staff in the bar attached to the hotel the staff are amazing so friendly and welcoming, we were given free raki shots every night, they did amazing cocktails and pizza |We would go back but in a...
