We found this restaurant when we were walking around after a long swimming. We liked the vibe and atmosphere of the place so we wanted to check it out. It is on seaside. We had a great sea view.
People were very friendly and service was also fast enough. The foods are also looking simple but they were really tasty. They catch fresh fish as I understand. Because if you order fish menu they ask you the one that they have from today. We also saw octopuses were hung to dry, which was very unique and shows that everything is freshly made.
We ordered risotto with shrimps and mussels, burger plate and eggplant salad. We thought that eggplant salad will be fried but it was like dip sauce. I must say that it was the best thing we ate in Crete. It was so tasty and light. We also ordered their homemade bread. It was pretty big. With eggplant dip, they were perfect couple :)
Unfortunately burger plate was just with burger meat and fries. There were no buns but it wasn’t a big problem. Meat was also juicy and without breadcrumbs. Risotto was so much better in my opinion. It was really full of little size scrimps and mussels. Prices were really good for this portions also. We paid total 27 euro for everything. I leave also prices below.
Burger plate: 9,5 euro Risotto with sea food: 10,5 euro Eggplant salad: 3,5 euro Bread: 1 euro Water: 1 euro Greek...

Regrettably, the rest food was below par. I'm not such a picky eater. If it's edible I'll like it and eat it.
Ordered aubergine salad- it was not nice at all. Tasted of just mayonnaise, and had the same consistency, albeit more watery. Seemed like a cheapest shop bought item. Had it in 4 different places all week, all were infinitely better.
The tuna salad was drenched in Marie Rosé sauce. Or more like more watery mayonnaise. Really spoilt the actual tuna and salad below. If you order it ask for no sauce.
French fries? Fresh but soggy unfortunately. Not like any of the FFs had everywhere else all week. Nice flavour though.
The waiter was alone, but did very well given how busy it got- last day of season and everywhere else closed. So, props to him and his politeness.
Would i come back here to eat again ? No. I'd walk in mid-day sun to find somewhere else. I'm not a food connoisseur, but even i know when something isn't how it should be. It wasn't enjoyable. Others may be happy with other dishes, but for us it was far too disappointing.

Read moreLeft our resort for an evening and stumbled across this gem in search of a proper cretan beer. The charma I was looking for had run out but they were waiting for a new barrel. Whist waiting they managed to squeeze another pint from the barrell for me and the staff took care of us and our daughters with some drinks and small plates. We hadn't gone for the food but after trying a few of the dishes we were blown away by the flavours and fresh produce that was coming from the kitchen.. The chef/proprietor served us a whole warm loaf of beautiful bread to share, alongside some fried shrimp, some lovely mussels with wine and peppers and some hand cut fries of the highest quality.. Great people and views to match.. Thanks for a wonderful experience to all the staff.. The best food and drink in crete.....
