Fotini Residence — Hotel in Municipality of Chersonissos

TRULY SPECTACULAR!! This is the most beautiful villa I have ever had the pleasure to stay in From the moment you step out of the car in your electrically opened garage to cross the glass walled bridge to the villa, you will be blown away. George (the owners son) met us at the car, helped with our luggage and showed us around. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, I felt that nothing we asked would be a problem. He sent lots of suggestions for eating, beaches, shopping, bars etc with links with directions on maps! Brilliant service. We had a little trouble ordering some food one evening so a quick text to George and it was sorted, ordered and delicious. There are options to get taxis into town, have takeaways or shopping delivered or drive the very short distances to local eateries and beaches. We could barely bring ourselves to leave the villa so spent much of it just relaxing by the pool. So.. the villa.. The huge front door opens up onto the wonderfully designed interior. It is chic, classy and elegant! The areas are spotlessly clean, incredibly spacious and have spectacular views across the ocean. The amenities are superb, with a very well stocked pantry including herbs & spices salt, honey, along with other useful kitchen items such as tin foil. The kitchen itself is very well equipped, including a full food mixer and waffle iron. Seriously there is nothing you could wish for! I thoroughly enjoyed my toasted sandwiches for lunch. There is washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets in plentiful supply too. The fridge was stocked also with bread butter meats fruit milk wine soft drinks yogurt etc. The WOW moment for me was the DRINKING WATER ON TAP!! I drink a LOT of water so not having to replenish bottled water constantly was awesome! Another WOW was finding that all of the doors leading to outside had sliding insect nets built in!! For someone who reacts very badly to bites, this was an amazing feature. The view from the master bedroom and attached bathroom were breathtaking. To wake up to that view each morning made my heart sing! Each of the floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom and bathroom can be covered with the electric blinds, independently controlled. Every bathroom is stocked up with full size new bottles of shower gel, conditioner and body butter. Each bedroom also has all towels, including pool towels, bathrobes and slippers. The villa feels totally private and secluded. There is a second ensuite bedroom upstairs with a garden/mountain view. Downstairs in the villa you have 2 further ensuite bedrooms,(one with sitting room and terrace) a HUGE utility room for washing clothes etc, a sauna and a games / cinema room and gym. The TV's have Netflix and amazon, the villa has proper wifi throughout, and a music system throughout the whole villa that can be linked to the rooms you wish and of course to outdoors. The outside area with fully heated pool (it stayed at around 30 degrees for the duration of our stay) is also breathtaking. The view from the infinity pool was beautiful. The pool stayed sparklingly clean throughout, there are plenty of areas to sit and relax. Some shaded, some in sunshine. Some sheltered from the wind. There is an outdoor kitchen with wood fired barbecue and a traditional wood fired pizza oven. You can also find table tennis. There are floats available for the pool. We had a daily housekeeper who thoroughly cleaned the kitchen, bathrooms, floors throughout, made or changed beds etc. She was great and the place smelled amazing when she had finished. I don't know what more I can say about Fotini Residence, it truly has stolen our heart, for its beauty, design, amenities and service. If we ever are in Crete, this is where we will be! (I may have one small suggestion.... a hot tub, shaded from the wind to use on the cooler evenings...

Fantastic Villa. Great location near Heraklion, beach, etc. Amazing views on high ground. Covered secure parking with electric doors. Easy access for disabled. Met by George who was incredibly helpful and available when needed. Great kitchen for cooking and all the appliances you could want. Huge fridge and freezer with ice maker (whew!). Air conditioning worked great once George had set it up right. Huge pool and nice decent fitness room. Fantastic handy washing room. Sauna room incredible. Excellent barbecue area which we used a lot! Fast WiFi. Perfect villa for a large adult group or family with teeenagers. Not ideal for young children - especially the pool as the shallow end is about 1.6m deep. Will hopefully...

We had the best time at Fotini Residence! Everything looks just like the pictures and felt like home immediately. We had some small problems here and there, but George always went the extra mile to make sure everything was fixed right away. Our favorite feature was the sound system that’s installed in the entire house, outdoor area included, and that can be controlled for every room individually. We‘d love to come...
