Ktima Karageorgou — Hotel in Municipality of East Mani

We spent four days here in June 2019. We are a family of four (two teenaged children) and had a family room (12 I think). It was two levels on the backside of the compound which provided privacy and peace. We loved our stay here and wish we had booked longer. The family atmosphere is evident from the moment you arrive which adds an awesome sense of hospitality and warmth. Upon arrival, we were provided with a map and suggestions of day trips. The facility is wonderfully situated. Just up the road from the old town in areopoli, you have the benefit of being 5 minutes form the restaurants, shops, and cafes while having the quiet, compound feel of being on the edge of town. It is a short walk down the road. Some reviewers said it was far, but it really was easy. The facility feels small and although there were a number of guests coming and going, it never seemed busy bc everyone had a different schedule. The pool area is stunning - in a courtyard with a view of the mountain behind. You can get drinks, food, ice cream by the pool. Breakfasts are delicious with fresh baked goods, fruit from the garden, and fresh orange juice. Ask for yoghurt and enjoy it with local honey. The hotel was nicely situated for day trips, when you are ready to leave the pool. The mountains and windy roads require some driving to get around - so do expect to spend a couple of hours on the road. But, the destinations are worth it. Finally, we opted for dinner on-site one evening. It was a lovely choice, with appetizers, salad and lamb. A wonderful meal in the garden setting. If you like small-ish, family run boutique hotels for the experience of meeting people and enjoying personal hospitality, you will enjoy this luxurious...

An Unexpected Gem in Mani! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We stumbled upon this hotel almost by chance, booking on the same day as check-in, and what a delightful surprise it was!

From the moment we arrived, we were charmed. Our room was wonderfully spacious, and its country-style decor, full of thoughtful details, instantly made us feel at home. After a day of travel and exploring from Kalamata and around the Mani area, the swimming pool was an absolute dream – a pure moment of joy and relaxation under the Greek sun.

The service truly stands out; the personnel are incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel like a valued guest and part of the family.

The location is fantastic too! The vibrant and cosy nightlife of Areopoli is just a pleasant walk away, making evenings convenient and enjoyable. And breakfast? Simply divine! There's a wide array of savoury and sweet options, all clearly handmade with love and utterly delicious.

This place has definitely earned a spot among our best travel memories. We absolutely loved our stay and will certainly be coming back for more relaxing days on our next trip to the Mani area.

If you are looking for an oasis with character and a bit of a buzz then this is where you should stay! The team did everything they could in a quiet and non invasive way to ensure our stay was wonderful. A pretty outdoor area around the pool with multiple types of seating, shaded area and small bar that produced amazing 🍓 fresh strawberry Daiquiri (no chemicals). The rooms were fab - we had an executive double that had lots of room, a balcony, seating and lovely small touches. I loved the colour scheme! Lots of choice at breakfast, all laid out beautifully with indoor and outdoor seating amongst the garden. The room price, which included breakfast, was very reasonable compared with other hotels and drinks and food prices excellent in comparison. The fresh coffee was the cheapest I’d seen during the whole of our stay which is unusual and a lovely surprise. A short walk down to the local town...
