Hotel Poseidon Kokkari Samos Greece — Hotel in Municipality of Eastern Samos

This was our first holiday together and first trip to Samos and can honestly say it was amazing! When we arrived at the hotel, one of the owners 'mama' greeted us and told us to take a seat in the restaurant which overlooks the sea (crystal clear waters and you watch the fishes swimming!). We were treated to a jug of wine whilst they were getting our room ready which was lovely as we were exhausted from a day of travelling. The hotel is situated on a pedestrian street with lovely restaurants, bars and shops.||||We were showed to our studio apartment by Steve who was also very welcoming and friendly and told us information about the village and the island.The apartment overlooked the village of Kokkari and was very beautiful and relaxing. Room was perfect and more than we could have asked for with balcony and kitchenette with appliances. ||||We visited the hotel's restaurant for breakfast and dinner a few times throughout the week and thought the food was exceptional. All the food was cooked fresh and the service was excellent, especially from their son Vasilis who was very friendly. We even bumped into him in Samos Town (Vathi) and we went for a coffee and ice-cream with him, he was like our own personal tour guide!||||Overall we had an amazing holiday here, and we will definitely be returning...

I was looking for a traditional seaside village Taverna with rooms. The dream was to throw open the shutters and have a view of the sea. Nostalgically I wanted the old fashioned Greece of years ago without development, packages and hoards of tourists. I found everything I wanted at the Poseidon Hotel and Kokkari. It was wonderful, charming and ticked every nostalgic box. It's in the middle of pretty vehicle free Kokkari, on the waterfront along with traditional restaurants and bars. In fact a perfect evening stroll. Poseidon have a restaurant which really does have Grandmas traditional recipes. Out of seven nights we ate there three times, not intentionally but the excellent food just kept drawing us back. ||The staff were wonderful and the hospitality of the family really made it for us. You know the saying, arrive as strangers, leave as friends, well our stay just epitomised that. Lovely Samos, lovely Kokkari and lovely Poseidon Hotel. A perfect...

This is a family run hotel overlooking the harbor and restaurants below. Our room was on the third floor with a balcony overlooking the pedestrian walkway and restaurants. We had an excellent sea view. Room 8. We were able to drive up close enough to unload and then park the car in a free parking area nearby with plenty of space. Our room had a living room, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom with shower. Spyros, his wife and Mom and Dad were excellent hosts.Our room was clean and air conditioning worked well, although we enjoyed keeping the windows open at night and have a nice sea breeze coming through. They also operate a restaurant on the ground level with excellent food and service. Location is perfect. We were only here for three nights.
