I had the pleasure of staying at Maria Hotel, and it turned out to be a truly delightful experience. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, I felt completely comfortable and well taken care of. This hotel is exactly what many travelers are looking for: a place that is extremely clean, very quiet, and managed by a team of genuinely friendly people.
One of the first things that struck me was the cleanliness. Every corner of the hotel, from the lobby to the hallways and especially the rooms, was spotless. It’s clear that the staff here take great pride in maintaining a high standard, and it shows. The rooms are not only clean but also fresh, well-kept, and organized in a way that immediately makes you feel at ease. The bathrooms, often a detail that can make or break a stay, were immaculate. Fresh towels, quality toiletries, and excellent daily housekeeping made it feel like I was in a place where attention to detail truly matters.
Equally important was the peacefulness of the hotel. Maria Hotel is very quiet, which is a huge plus for anyone who values rest while traveling. Whether during the day or night, there was no unnecessary noise, and I was able to enjoy a completely relaxing environment. The beds were comfortable, the rooms well-insulated, and I never felt disturbed at any point during my stay. This calm atmosphere made it the perfect place to recharge after a long day of exploring.
But what really sets Maria Hotel apart is the people who run it. The friendliness of the staff made a big difference in my experience. Everyone I encountered was warm, approachable, and eager to help with anything I needed. From check-in to check-out, I felt genuinely welcomed, not just as a guest but almost like a member of the family. They were always ready with a smile, willing to answer questions, and offered helpful suggestions about the local area. That kind of hospitality is rare and made the stay even more enjoyable.
In addition to these highlights, the hotel also offers a very homely feel. It’s not overly commercial or crowded, which adds to its charm. Instead of feeling like just another traveler passing through, I felt like I was staying in a place where guests truly matter. For me, this balance of professionalism and personal warmth made all the difference.
Overall, Maria Hotel is an excellent choice if you are looking for a stay that is comfortable, peaceful, and welcoming. It combines spotless cleanliness with a quiet atmosphere and adds the bonus of staff who genuinely care about their guests. While it may not have the scale or extravagance of a large luxury hotel, what it offers is something even more valuable: a sense of comfort, trust, and peace of mind.
I would not hesitate to recommend Maria Hotel to anyone looking for a truly pleasant stay. It’s a place I would happily...
Read morePros: one minute walk to the beach, ATM right around the corner, clean, new towels every day.||Cons: no Wi-Fi signal at all whole week, toilet paper has to be placed in the trash not toilet, no proper curtains so got sun right in our faces every morning, AC not included and payed cash with no recept back, Maria was not to be seen the whole week, only available on phone. Spacious bathroom from website was in reality small with smallest shower I have seen ever. And worse of all when they cleaned the stairs there was no sign about it so i fell down the stairs while going out, one of employees who didnt even speak english started laughing while she was saying to other one that i fell. Other one came to ask if all is ok, but after I went to my room noone asked anything more, not even Maria. And i was all blue and in such pain that i needed one week sickleave after.||So all in all will not be back or recommend to anyone. Much better to stay in...
Read moreA perfect stay in Kokkari. Maria, her family and all the "invisible and visible" helpers in the background are doing a pretty good job to make one feel welcome. The whole accommodation including the outside area are well maintained, with a loving eye to details. I had a studio in a nearby house which is perfect for one guest (nice, but tiny bathroom, not enough storage place for 2 travellers). Only the street lantern (not in the responibilty of Maria) was annoying as it was right in front of my balcony and not only illuminated it the room during the night, but also negated the possibility of an open balcony door and thus a fresh breeze (I don't like A/C). The daily breakfast, which was served on a small terrace was tasty and offered enough variety. Towels are changed daily, bed linen (with nice designs) every 3rd night. The bigger apartments are also recommendable and offer enough space...
