We have been here in the morning for chilling and at night for dinner with love Greek music.
It seems like a Greek - Turkish couple running the business, and they super kind and hospital.
In the morning , we have ordered frappe, double Greek coffee and they were both tasty. Then we ordered vegan sandwich with falafel and tahini sauce served with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers and tzatziki, it was one of the best falafel we tried so far. After that we ordered fruit salad, it was quite tasty and fine but we were expecting a bit more specific fruits such as fig and etc. Beach is with a lot of nice pebbles like almost every beach in Samos, quite comfortable and clean sun beds, a little bit windy area. Either you pay 10 euros for 2 sun beds with umbrella or if your bill reaches 25 euro they don’t charge you for sun beds.
We enjoyed a lot during the day.
We came back for dinner at night , there was live Greek music with piano. It was a lovely atmosphere, time to time owners were dancing with couple of songs, you can see how they enjoy with what they do for living.
We ordered fried calamari , and it came with a full portion of french fries , tomatoes with onions, and tzatziki. Fried calamari was tasty but it was not the best we tried in Samos, it was a bit soggy. However fries and tzatziki were quite tasty. The plate costs 18 euro, which is understandable with the full portion of French fries which cost usually 5 euros by itself.
We ordered “10 meze plate” and it was quite tasty. I certainly recommend if you are coming as 2 people. It served with homemade grilled bread. Maybe not all of them taste at their best, but I bet everybody would enjoy with the meze plate. There was nothing we didn’t like. ( up to your taste of course)
They were quite sensitive about allergens, and they provided all meze plate dairy free ingredients.
We were quite satisfied with the day we spent and next morning we came again to enjoy yoga classes right next to see, and spend our rest of the day here.
Thanks a lot for everything, From Polish-...
Read moreWe made the mistake of going to this place on the last evening of our holiday. They charged us 30 euros per person for a fixed menu, excluding alcohol. The menu consisted of four appetizers and a main course. Each appetizer was about a little spoon in size; I've never seen such a small portion size anywhere else. The main course was a complete fiasco. We chose beef from the options offered, but it didn't arrive. Ive inform the staff again and again as I eas there with my kid and he is hungry as the clock was 9:00 pm but they did not explain the situation. When we insisted on asking, we were always told it would be delivered shortly but it was clear there was a shortage in the kitchen. In the end The food arrived at 9:30 PM, but instead of beef, they brought grilled meatballs. The staff member explained that there was a problem in the kitchen. We told them we didn't like this, but we were continuing to eat when the manager came over and explained that we had received exactly what we ordered :))) and that a two-hour service time was normal. I did not listen others but there were no apologize. In a holiday paradise like Samos, a place that tries to fool people like this has no chance.I wish we'd checked the reviews before going; there are many other quality places in this area. By the way we left the table because we did not planned to eat meatball but they charge us beef price even we got...
Read moreWe did not stay at the hotel but this was our go to place for breakfast, beach and night drinks. Great staff, I always value a smiling team which makes it more pleasant to spend time somewhere. Owners were attentive and kind. They have plenty of options for food and for a change the menu is not overcrowded with different cuisines but they have kept it simple and delicious. The breakfast is the best in Kokkari and we have had a fair share of their delicious bread. We highly recommend the menemen. Prices are very fair and with what you get, it’s worthy. The sea was great while we were there and sunbeds are comfy. If you are not a fan of stones, please do have shoes to wear appropriate for it. Bonus points for having a shower for those who do not like staying salty. At night they have different music nights, we managed to enjoy a Greek night and a rock n blues night with a few beers. It’s one of those cozy comfy places you feel like family, where you can dance with the owners Zeus and Maro or just watch them do an amazing dance routine. All in all I highly recommend everyone who wants to enjoy Kokkari to the fullest to pop here. Well worthy of your time,...
