Beautiful location, underwhelming food — not planning to return

We visited Tarsanas Restaurant as a group of six, including two 8-year-olds. The setting is truly beautiful — it's right on the shore, with lovely lighting along the seaside. From your table, you can watch fish and ducks swimming just below, which creates a very relaxing atmosphere.

We were about 30 minutes late for our reservation, and the waitress seemed visibly annoyed. One of the staff members in particular came across as a bit serious and unwelcoming, but it wasn’t a major issue overall.

We ordered a variety of meze, but none were memorable. The grilled calamari was disappointing — most likely frozen, as it had a rubbery texture. The sea bass was decent, but not exceptional. What really let us down was that all the main dishes were served with apple-cut French fries. In a Greek seaside restaurant, this felt out of place and almost like an insult to the cuisine.

At the end, they brought us a plate of watermelon and a complimentary ouzo, which was a lovely gesture and definitely the highlight of the night.

Unfortunately, despite the great location and small moments of hospitality, the overall dining experience didn’t meet our expectations — we don’t plan to return.

The location and view of the place are very nice. I usually don’t comment much, but I can’t pass without commenting here. I have never encountered such bad service before. I asked for the WiFi password, and they handed me the menu and said, “It’s written there, look it up,” in a rude manner. We ordered coffee, which took almost half an hour to arrive. We were planning to stay for a long time and have a meal, but we decided to leave due to the attitude we were shown. Therefore, I can’t comment on the food. We had to leave the place because of the bad attitude shown to us.

In addition to your response to my comment, I am writing the following: Yes, we came without a reservation and asked you, and you said your sun loungers were reserved and that we could sit at the tables, so we sat at one of the tables. If we had known you would treat us so poorly, we would never have sat there. Also, you treated us badly even before our child got the floor wet. Additionally, I think it is reasonable to expect the floors to get wet at a place located 3-5 meters...

Amazing place to sit and watch the horizon but service and food are really poor. I tried this place with my family in our 10th trip to samos and I can clearly say that the overall rating of this place is misleading as its all looks and nothing else, we had to walk alll the way to their kitchen to order as nobody was paying attention to us. we ordered alot of meze and starters and they were all lacked the flavor that you expect from a 4.5 star restaurant but their margarita pizza was just absolutely inedible. It was dripping with grease and the taste was so bad that we couldn't even finish a piece.
