Eleni's apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Ierapetra

In August we got to spend 4 wonderful days in Eleni's Appartements lovingly led by the very attentive and welcoming host. He received us at our bus drop off place at the bottom of the hill and drove us up to his hotel which is a few hundred meters up the hill and drove us back when we had to leave. The rooms are simple but very clean and charming and the real luxury is Babis always being there for you for questions and great recommendations for what to do and where to go around the area (and the area is stunningly beautiful with stoney and sandy beaches and great restaurants and bars and not as touristy as the North of Crete). The hotel consists of several separate little houses set around a little pool with bar and seating area where you have a lovely view onto the beautiful mountain side framed by palms and the always deep blue Greek sky. There Babis serves a big and tasty breakfast including fresh fruit and Greek yogurt with honey which is not at all expensive. Next to the hotel is a parking lot where you can leave your rental car. The owners Effi and Babis made us feel very welcome. They provided good tips for things to do and were available whenever we needed them. Also just to chat. We were staying down the road at another resort, but we came here several times to have coffee and talk. The owners are very friendly. They live on site, so they are available when problems arise. They clearly are fully invested in the place because it was very clean and well cared for. The customers were mostly repeaters, and they were all lying around the pool in the most leisurely fashion.
