Blue and White Studios & Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Karpathos

Liked · Beautiful family run business, with the grandma greeting us in Greek and urging us to sit and relax/enjoy the breathtaking views whilst her son came with the keys to the rooms.||||The hotel located at the edge of Lefkos; with the beach literally at the door step, the place has has stunning views of the ocean from each of the rooms we stayed in. It was lovely to sleep and wake up to the sounds of the waves. Rooms were spacious and had kitchen facilities available which were handy! Kitchen had supplies to make coffee, with fresh water and juice in the fridge also available to use.||||The hosts were so welcoming and lovely - incredible and true Greek hospitality; they helped make the stay even more enjoyable; would love to come back annually to stay here and unwind.||||Location wise, the hotel has waterfront views and is at the end of the 3 bays/beaches in Lefkos (great location - took about 5 minutes to walk to the start of the first bay). Lefkos is a fantastic part of Karpathos, with incredible, fresh seafood nearby (Fishermans cafe & Ammos were particular standouts!) and family friendly, crystal clear, sandy beaches (most beaches were pebble stoned, but the middle one was sandy which was great on the feet!||||Disliked · Location was incredible; the rooms were a little dated (mainly bathroom & kitchen) but worked fine. Drive, heading to North, along Lefkos coastline and at the very end of the road there stand the studios.|Triada, owner and host, will warmly welcome you and instill a lot of Greek energy, offering delicious sweets or organic figs.|Clean and well equipped, our room was one of those on the 1st floor; it had both a tiny balcony viewing the sea on the front and on the back a covered terrace with sofas all around.|Only a few things may be improved in this room :1) change shower doors & head 2) check drain system on bathroom floor 3) replace air conditioner.|A few meters down below the estate, accessible by stairs, there's Francolimnionas beach, where a dozen of (unmistakable) blue & white beds and umbrellas are provided for the studios' guests.|Windward side of the beach, so sea might be heavy, but you can easily reach by walk another stretch of Francolimnionas where waters are calm.|In short, a lovely, quiet and relaxing...

I very nice place and nice apartments which are located a little outside the main small village but within walking distance (not more than 10 minutes). The apartments are just above the beach which however is not the main beach in Lefkos. Advantage is that it is less crowded and Blue and White is offering sunbeds for free as included with the apartment rental. The beach connected to the apartments might not be so suitable for very small kids and nonswimmers as the sea is not so calm. For swimmers it is nice to enjoy the swinging of the waves. There are a number of tavernas and 3 mini markets in Lefkos which are in reach by foot so you will not need a car.
