Prior to our holiday some reviews were very negative but we all had a fabulous time. On arrival hot and tired it was time consuming for us to complete our booking in via computer screens but the guy on Reception was helpful and courteous. We arrived at midnight but the hotel bar was open which was much appreciated. I personally had a great room with pool view and large bathroom. Others had mountain view and smaller bathrooms but these were also fine. The rooms were spotless and kept clean every day with towels changed daily. Nothing was too much trouble. The tourist tax, aircon (definitely needed in July) and use of the room safe is all paid for on arrival so best to have plenty of cash to pay this as there is a discount for cash. Breakfast consists of various breads, cheese, ham, tinned peaches, fresh fruit, jams, honey, yoghurt, tea, coffee and fruit juice. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms but it is possible to pay for a tea tray. Pool area - I watched the pool being cleaned every morning from my balcony. I mentioned via Facebook messenger that the outlets needed a better clean and the outside shower head also needed cleaning. Both of these were dealt with within 24 hours. Another customer mentioned a wobbly handrail into the pool had become loose. This was also rectified. Response to concerns was fast and again we couldn't complain. By late afternoon the pool could look a bit cloudy but that was because people didn't shower before getting in and the pool was having to deal with people covered in sun lotions. Some swallows nest in the balconies and dip and dive in the pool area. I found them beautiful to watch but they do poop of course. Every morning I watched all the sun beds being cleaned and the whole area kept spotless. The pool bar served a great variety of food and drink with gyros being a family favourite. The location is perfect with a 1 minute walk to the sea and shops. We had the opportunity to use the other 2 hotels in the group but I personally was quite happy to use the pool and bars at Kris Mari. The receptionist kindly organised a trip for me to Zia, a mountain village, to see a beautiful sunset. I would recommend this it's stunning. We also spent a day on a private boat hire with lunch which was wonderful. The company to book that with is Zues but you would need to book well in advance. So I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel...

Read moreWe spent a week here….
Rooms are very basic, wet room, shower is very small. Cleaners came in every 2 days, didn’t change the sheets just made up the beds. Changed towels every 2 days but not all towels, some towels were just folded back up so it looked like they were changed.
I had a nap one afternoon and the cleaner walked straight in, didn’t bother to knock first. I did apologise and left the room to let her do her job. Found a dead cockroach outside our room but once my little boy pointed it out Infront of the cleaner she did soon clean it up. Didn’t expect anything less as we were in a hot country and only saw the 1 in the hotel so we didn’t pay much attention to it.
Breakfast is very basic, they served from 7.30-9.30am which is very early for being on holiday. Very basic, mainly toast, fruit and yoghurt. Nothing exciting. Had half a peach slice one day but didn’t bother eating breakfast any other mornings, didn’t look appealing at all.
The pool was brilliant, lovely, clean, size pool. The pool bar was cheap, food also cheap, food was quite nice.
Staff were friendly.
We paid for air con, although it didn’t feel like it worked as hardly pumped anything out and found it took around 5 hours for the room to get to a comfortable temperature.
Great location, 2 mins from the beach and the main shops, bars and restaurants.
The only thing the put me off was the air con being naff and the breakfast. They are the only 2 things I can really moan about.
Other than that, it’s a place to lay your head down at night time and keep...
