Staff were very nice and friendly, especially Elena at the pool bar and all the staff in the restaurant and bar.Overall a nice relaxing stay, with pretty views and nice attentive staff. Great for a relaxing couples or family holiday, close to the main town and places nearby to hire bikes etc from. I’m guessing the hotel is undergoing a soft opening as furniture is still being brought in and there are few tweaks that if made can make a difference to the whole experience;- including a booklet in each and every guestroom of what is available at the hotel (breakfast, lunch, dinner etc) and around it (local bus routes and excursions, along with the essential phone numbers (reception) in a variety of languages. Currently there are paper print outs (which isn’t that environmentally friendly) at reception that have info about the hotel but it isn’t terribly comprehensive (e.g there was no communication that the a la carte restaurant was only open on certain nights, so when we went to book a day in advance it wasn’t opening the following day and the next availability was when we were leaving so we missed out, no info about any live music or classes that may be taking place) - need to have music at all public spaces, especially during lunch and by the pool to help create some atmosphere and a holiday vibe - there is only one restaurant for all meals (aside from the a la carte which opens certain days and basically serves the same v.good pizza & pasta that is served in the main restaurant) so more variety across lunch and dinner would help mix things up a bit and also having covers on dishes to stop flies landing on unoccupied dishes would be great - all public bathrooms need to have locks. There was one lock in one of the women’s bathrooms by the restaurant, but in the unisex bathrooms by the pools there is no lock and this urgently needs sorting - also need more staff at the pool bar and main bar as whilst the staff are v.attentive there is one person looking after the pool bar which is the only place to get drinks from 10am - 6pm aside from the lunch hall which is open for 2 hours between 12.30pm - 2.30pm - breakfast times should be extended as currently open from 7am - 10am which really means you need to be up and out of your room by 9am if you don’t want to eat what’s left and personally on holiday I like a bit of a lay in so extending breakfast until 11am would be a good shout - chef does great pancakes for breakfast so highly recommended - showers and toilets need looking at in rooms. E.g there is a glass partition between the shower and toilet, with no tinted glass. So if I’m in the shower and someone goes to the toilet they can see you and vice versa - not great if you’re sharing with your friend or husband for that matter- showers also leak straight onto the main floor - also need a few more activities going on for guests during the day - I.e Greek lessons, aerobics classes, get the tennis court up and running, bike tours The hotel lists itself as a 4 star, but definitely would say that right now it is more 3 star, but by making the improvements suggested above can definitely get up...
Read morePoor first impressions and very disappointing considering this is a new resort…
My friend and I arrived at HarmonyCrest today for a 4 night stay. We were very excited for our luxury all inclusive adult holiday. I had emailed prior to coming about ensuring we had a twin room; and enquired about the a la carte restaurant booking and swim up room - we got a quick response and were told the twin beds would be possible depending on availability, the al a carte was supplement of €35 each and the swim up room €60 a night. We decided we would make a decision when we arrived. On arrival we checked in at just after 2pm, lunch finishing at 2:30pm. We were told there were only twin beds in a swim up room, but instead the price would be €40 a night upgrade (and then there is a €7 tourist charge per night too). We upgraded and were happy, until we got to the room. The resort in first glance looks shiny and lovely, however it is very tired and we were shocked to find that the door to the room didn’t look secure (looks that someone has tried to prize the door open in the past), a towel rail nearly hanging off the wall with several filled unpainted holes, the sink vanity unit is digusting and in awful condition, bedside table delaminating, the shower head is poorly fixed to the ceiling, the mould is already present around the shower, there are marks/damages to the walls, the aircon isn’t efficient and there is dust/cobwebs in the corners of the room. We paid €160 to upgrade to this on top of our holiday cost! The finer details and finishing touches are not up to standard for the 4* resort… We went back to reception and was told for twin beds, we can’t change our room until tomorrow. No other compensation. We hope the room tomorrow is ok… but would have been happier with some kind of refund/other offer. Overall the whole resort is in poor repair, does not look like it opened 18 months ago - clearly made very cheaply and not to last. Having said this we had lunch before it finished which was ok - very little choice and mediocre. The cocktails at the pool bar are strong and tasty, the bar staff are friendly. But again around the pool is also very tired (silicone coming away, paint on the tiles etc). Also at 3pm there are no pool towels left! So we’ve had to use our room towels… not ideal. The marketing of this hotel is great, but don’t let it mislead you like it has done us… I know we will have a nice holiday in the sunshine, but beginning the holiday with a disappointing start means we wouldn’t come back/recommend...
Read moreToday is our last day here and tbh we are sad to leave. The truth is it's not perfect but my God the staff are wonderful! In our experience the staff go above and beyond!!! The hotel is not 100%finished BUT in my opinion it doesn't affect the stay. It just makes it about 10% less attractive.
We have been here 7 days and the biggest disappoint was the miserable tourists! Seriously we would watch the staff work so hard for the tourists to just moan. Some people will never be happy! Yes it can be windy! Yes it's not finished! Yes the surrounding area is rural! We DON'T THINK THERE IS ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE.
We have a very restricted diet and they catered very well to us! They had teething problems for a few moments (offered cheese and ham sandwich on arrival when dairy intolerant and vegan) but this quickly got resolved. I would advise to simply speak up respectfully if theres a problem and it will be sorted!
All the staff are wonderful! we would like to shout out an extra special praise to: KATERINA MARKOU (on the reception) She made sure we was always happy! ILLIAS & GEORGE (Head chef and chef) THANKYOU for the delicious vegan food and for really really being fab with our requests! GEORGIA, VIOLET AND LAECKE (Waitors and Waitresses. Sorry if spelt name wrong. Incredible service!!!) ELENA (Pool bar) AND BOTH GEORGES (bar) Constantly refilling glasses. Never experienced better service in a bar! MARIA (operations manager) keeping everything in check.
we recommend this hotel because if the service can be this good now, it will be exceptional in a few months!!!
Improvements Clearer labelling on food for breakfast More info in rooms (Phone number and meal times) our room shower water leaked straight out shower onto bed although we did get extra towels. (this needs sorting) Fresh juice (I really missed this) Music (Live music and just general louder music by the pool Get more pictures on the website as this place is seriously visually beautiful!!!
