Read moreWent to Taverna Romeo for all the good and excellent reviews. The only thing that's true is about the funny and kind owner that runs the business, but the food is awful and felt that it came directly from the freezer and already precooked with no passion. A bit disappointed, but Chicken filet is very dry, gyros directly baked from the freezer. Also the souvlaki isn't even freshly made, such as shame for traditional Greek home-made (family) food, such as souvlaki. I recognized the brand megasouvlaki, so a simple search shows the package.
Also the price isn't that cheap, since for the same price you can get a home made souvlaki menu. .
Oh and also had a stomach ache directly after dinner.
Menu/food should reflect the passion of the dishes you make. less is eventually more. always prepare instead of reheating Focus on quality and freshness

We came with a group of 15 people and only called 30 minutes in advance. Despite this, the 2-staffed kitchen managed to dish out all our food at the same time, and it was delicious. I don't know how they did it, but the two ladies in the kitchen prepared mixed grills, fish, pizzas and gyros simultantiously all while making sure each dish was prepared to near perfection.
And now for the ambiance. For western standards, the restaurant is not much to look at, but the ambiance is fantastic - all thanks to the waiter and I assume owner. This guy is very attentive - he notices everything, but most of all, boy can this man create an atmosphere.
Awesome experience, thank you Taverna Romeo.
