Hotel Hermes — Hotel in Municipality of Kos

My parents stayed at this hotel because they were visiting me during my internship here on Kos. Two days after arriving, we went shopping in Kos Town. I bought some clothes there, which I left in their room afterward because we were going out for dinner. When we got back, my bag was gone. We saw that the cleaners had been in the room, so I immediately went to the reception to ask/complain about it. I told them my bag was gone and that they might have thought it was empty and thrown it away. They said they would look into it and get back to me later. The next day, I was called out of my parents' room to discuss this. Almost immediately, they yelled at me and threatened me with the fact I was no longer welcome there and that my parents had to find a new hotel within three days. The next day, they told my parents they had to leave the hotel immediately. The staff is very unfriendly (they scream at you, they assume that you’re German and almost never greet you), the pool is dirty and broken, the staff is never around, and if you arrive late at night, your key is left on the reception desk with a note. So, there's no one to greet you. Air conditioning costs €6 per day. The room is only cleaned twice a week, and the bed linens are only changed once. I would give this hotel 0 stars if that...

ich möchte Ihnen mein ehrliches Feedback zu meinem kürzlichen Aufenthalt in Ihrem Hotel mitteilen. Leider war meine Erfahrung sehr enttäuschend.

Das Hotel ist sehr alt, und die Servicequalität entsprach überhaupt nicht den Erwartungen. Zwar waren die Mitarbeiter freundlich, jedoch war der Service insgesamt sehr schlecht. Beispielsweise wurde der Zimmerservice nur alle drei Tage angeboten, und die Handtücher wurden nicht regelmäßig gewechselt.

Der Pool ist veraltet, und die Sonnenliegen sind alt und unbequem. Außerdem war ich überrascht, dass der Pool bereits um 20:00 Uhr geschlossen wird. Viele Gäste, mich eingeschlossen, würden den Pool gerne auch am Abend nutzen, daher ist diese Regelung unverständlich.

Nach 22:00 Uhr war an der Rezeption oder sonst im Hotel niemand vom Personal erreichbar, was sehr unpraktisch ist. Am Morgen standen sogar Hähne und Hühner direkt vor meinem Zimmer – was in einem Hotel absolut unangebracht ist.

Auch die Preise sind völlig unangemessen und sollten dringend von der Hotelleitung überprüft werden. 120 € für ein Standardzimmer und 85 € für ein Zimmer im Keller sind für die gebotene Qualität viel zu hoch.

Insgesamt war mein Aufenthalt sehr enttäuschend, und ich kann dieses Hotel leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

I would like to share my honest feedback about my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.

The hotel is extremely old, and the service quality was far below expectations. While the staff were generally friendly, the overall service was poor. For example, room service was only provided every three days, and towels were not replaced regularly.

The swimming pool is outdated, and the sunbeds are old and uncomfortable. I was also surprised that the pool closes at 8:00 PM. Many guests, including myself, would enjoy spending time at the pool in the evening, so closing it that early does not make sense.

After 10:00 PM, there were no staff members available at the reception or anywhere in the hotel, which is very inconvenient. In the mornings, I could even hear roosters and chickens right outside my room, which was unacceptable for a hotel environment.

The pricing is also unreasonable and needs to be reviewed by the management. Paying €120 for a standard room and €85 for a basement room is far too expensive given the poor quality of the facilities and service.

Overall, my stay was extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend this...

Είχαμε κλείσει το ξενοδοχείο για 5 βράδια ΕΥΤΥΧΩΣ ΜΕΣΩ BOOKING και λέω ευτηχως διότι αν δεν είχαμε κλείσει μέσω της booking θα μας χρέωναν το κλιματιστικό με την μέρα συν τον φόρο διαμονής που κατά την αποχώρηση μας επέμενε η ρεσεψιονίστ να της πληρώσουμε(10 ευρο) εντάξει δεν είναι το θέμα το ποσο απλώς γιατί να καταβάλω ένα ποσό το οποίο η ίδια η booking μου είπε μέσω μεηλ και στην αναλυτική χρέωση μου αναφέρει ότι το χω πληρώσει μαζί με την κράτηση μου. Όσο για το δωμάτιο τι να πω, αρχαίο εντελώς οκ είχε ιστούς στον τοίχο προφανώς ακαθάριστο παρά πολύ καιρό,έντομα φουλ και ενώ ήρθαν να αλλάξουν σεντόνια μετά από 3 μέρες δεν άλλαξε σεντόνια συν ότι είχαμε χρησιμοποιημένη πετσέτα κρεμασμένη για να την πάρει η καθαρίστρια και δεν την πήρε αμφιβάλω αν άλλαξε σεντόνια γιατί μας φάνηκε απλά ότι το τέντωσε το παλιό όπως επίσης και το σκούπισμα σε βεράντα και δωμάτιο ανύπαρκτο. Καθώς κούνησα την τηλεόραση του δωματίου λόγο ότι δεν έβλεπα εκεί ψηλά που την είχαν κουνήθηκε το καλώδιο της κεραίας με αποτέλεσμα να χαθεί το σήμα το οποίο έπαιζε ΜΟΝΟ ΓΕΡΜΑΝΙΚΑ και όταν ρώτησα μήπως υπάρχει δυνατότητα να δω κάτι στα ελληνικά είπαν δεν γίνεται,όπως και όταν ανέφερα ότι χάθηκε το σήμερα τηλεόρασης η απάντηση του ιδιοκτήτη ήταν ΔΕΝ ΤΑ ΠΕΙΡΑΖΟΥΜΕ ΑΥΤΑ εννοώντας την τηλεόραση και του απάντησα ότι δεν έβλεπα εκεί που είναι η τηλεόραση και αν μπορεί να φτιαχτεί διότι παρέχετε στις παροχές και η απάντηση του ήταν όχι δεν φτιάχνεται.. Γενικά και κατά την αποχώρηση έγινε αυτό με τον φόρο απαντώντας μας η ρεσεψιονίστ με αγένεια ότι η booking μπορεί να λέει ότι θέλει. Και στο τέλος δεν το πλήρωσα τον φόρο αφού ήδη τον είχα καταβάλει. Γενικά το ξενοδοχείο χρέωνε πρωινό εντελώς αδιάφορο από ότι είδα 20 ευρο το άτομο ανά ημέρα πράγμα γελοίο.. Το ξενοδοχείο θέλει συντήρηση απεντόμωση και γενικά καθάρισμα και ανακαίνιση δεν αξίζει ούτε μια στο εκατομμύριο τα 80 ευρο την βραδιά ούτε μια στο...
