RUNIED OUR LAST NIGHT ON HOLIDAY!!!

VERY RUDE STAFF, DON’T GO IF YOU WANT TO WANT A MEAL TO TAKE LESS THAN AN HOUR TO COME we sat down and ordered a bottle of water to start other people sat down 10 minutes after us and they had received their starters and mains whilst we hadn’t got anything we were never asked if we wanted anymore drinks took 15 minutes to come over and take our order even though it was mostly empty we had to go over and ask to order not one smile the whole time we were there from any of the staff no one once came over to update us on how our food was doing 50 minutes later my girlfriend went over to politely ask how our food was and she was RUDELY told it had only been 45 minutes she was then told it would be out any minute 10 minutes or so later I walked in and the chefs were just standing around and it looked as though they still hadn’t started it I then said can I please pay for the water and the woman was rude saying this isn’t a fast food restaurant, saying steaks take a long time, to which I replied that they don’t take an hour every other meal we have had out has been lovely and taken 20 minutes max, this was the exception

This taverna was on our doorstep and has mixed reviews. On our visit the welcome was warm and there were a few other couples seating. It is very end of season here though. Menu was extensive of typical Greek home style food and the usual suspects. Something for everyone. We ordered a mixed grill and asked for a small portion of gyros and tzatziki. The house white was nice enough. Food arrived hot and fresh and it was absolutely delicious. Larger than expected portions. Free complementary desert taster, all home made and a shot of Mastika. I noticed they sell olive oil. 1st press extra virgin olive oil. Produced by the ladies husband in a neighbouring patch of land. They use their home grown produce in the restaurant too. Absolutely delicious. We have took some oil home with us. This little local run family eatery is a delight....

We ate here last week as it looked inviting....that was not however the experience we had. We ordered the dish of the day which was moussaka which was tasty but cool especially in the middle. I had seafood pasta which was not good. The prawns were not cooked enough and white and soggy. It had something which looked like sliced crab sticks. I ate half the pasta but left the rest. When the waiter came to take it I said it wasn't nice and the prawns were undercooked and mushy. The owner came out and was shouting at me saying he had been cooking for 20 yrs. We said we would pay but wanted them to know...then the waitress joined in accusing us of trying to get a free meal!!! Not...
