Mastichari Bay Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Kos

Sadly one of the worst experiences we had in this price category in different countries and we travel a lot so we can compare. Let's start with good things: the hotel complex is older but we'll maintained, beautiful gardens and clean. The room we had (family suite) was spacious, very clean and with a nice view to the sea, nothing to complain. The 3 pools are ok, but nothing special. Also nothing special for kids, no slides, especially the baby pool could be more attractive, just 4*4m square, no slide, nothing to play with.

The worst thing about the hotel is the food. Sadly we booked half-board but would never do again. Food on Kos is in general amazing, we found so many Taverns with incredible food for good price, the hotel charges a lot for half-board for disappointing food. Only the cheapest food served, nothing healthy (for breakfast, not even pure oatmeal, just sweet, sweet, sweet. No fresh omlet station, the pre-made omlet is one of the worst I ever had, tastes like nothing. The worst thing is the coffee, I haven't seen cheapest instant coffee like in this hotel in hotels of this price class for a long time. You really can't call this coffee. Evening meals are not better. At one evening they serve "pure" vegetables which are not put in sauce already, which is good, but at the second evening you couldn't find any vegetables at all, instead two stations with fries, 3 stations with noodles with sauce. Salads are ok. Beside that, very little meat (or just a few pieces in sauce), not very much vegetarian options, only one kind of fish and again a lot of cheap, fried food (noodles with sauce, fries, lot of sweets). If you decide for this hotel, think twice if you want to eat there or get your meals in one of many very very good...

My recent stay at the Mastichari Bay Hotel in Kos was an absolute dream! Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren des Hotel Mastichari Bays Hotel

Ich hatte gemeinsam mit meiner Mutter einen gebuchten Aufenthalt durch die Reiseagentur TUI. Wir waren vom 2. September bis zum 9. September vor Ort. Im Allgemeinem möchten wir ein sehr tolles Lob sowohl für den Service als auch für das gesamte Hotelpersonal aussprechen.

Allgemeiner Überblick Das Hotel von Außen und von der Lage her ist es sehr schön zentral im Ort Mastichari positioniert. Ein wirklich toller Ort wenn man sich entspannen und erholen möchte. Ich Und mein Sohn können dieses Hotel in diesem Fall sehr empfehlen. Es lohnt sich hier her zu kommen. Wenn man selbst vor Ort ist sieht es eher aus wie ein typisches Familienhotel aber nein, Das Hotel eignet sich sowohl für ältere als auch für Paare die gerne ein wenig Ruhe für sich haben möchten.

Zimmer Sehr schöne große geräumige Zimmer, ausgestattet mit einer guten Klimaanlage und einem großem Bad. Hervorrage saubere Zimmerreinigung durch die Reinigungsdamen, auch auf Anfrage bekamen wir jedes mal ein sehr ordentliches aufgeräumtes Zimmer in welches man sehr hereinspaziert fühlte. Wir hatten zwar keinen Blick auf das Meer aber wir hatten einen schönen Gartenblick. Wir hatten einen Schönen Hang von Blumen zur Sicht und einen gepflegten Rasen. Auch hatten wir zwar neben unseren Bad ein kleines Wespennest aber dennoch waren die Wespen sehr friedlich ohne das wir gestoßen wurden.

Restaurant / Buffet Eine verschiedene Vielfalt von servierten Speisen von allen möglichen Regionen aus Europa. Beim Frühstücksbuffet gibt es verschiedene Auswahlen, Viele verschiedene Brot Auswahlen, Verschiedene Arten von Früchten, Müsli, alles Mögliche. Ein wenig kleines Minus, es gabs Die Eierspeise die sehr versalzen schmeckte. Zum Abendessen gab es immer etwas neues zum Probieren. Der Buffetplan war immer sehr abwechslungsreich. An zwei wurden Griechische Spezialitäten serviert die uns sehr gut geschmeckt haben. Freundliche Kellner die sogar einen Tisch für Gäste reservieren wenn man höflich fragt.

Strand Anlage / Bucht Es ist zwar ein Sandstrand den man normaler nicht so oft in Griechenland antrifft (normalerweise gibt es überall in Griechenland einen Steinstrand) aber der Strand wird tagtäglich vom Hotelpersonal in den frühen Morgenstunden gereinigt sodass man nicht in Glasscherben oder in sonstige Art von Verunreinigungen treten kann. Dafür auch einen Lob das man auf Reinigung sehr viel Wert legt. An der unteren Hotelbar gibt es viele freundliche Kellner.

Service an der Rezeption Ein besonderer Lob, am unserem erstem Tag kamen wir sehr spät im Hotel an. Wir haben uns an der Rezeption angemeldet und ohne uns weiter Warten zu lassen hat man uns zum Speisesaal geführt und man uns ein warmes Essen angeboten weil das Hotelpersonal sah das wir sehr Spät mit unserem Transfer ankamen. Auch wenn wir Fragen hatten wo und was sich im Dorf Mastichari befand hat man uns all unsere gestellten Fragen bestmöglich beantwortet. Auch als Ich im Dorf Mastichari gestürzt bin habe mir man Hilfe angeboten das man einen Arzt verständigt das er vorbeikommt und sich selbst ein Bild vom angeschwollenem Bein macht. Allgemein wir können wir sagen die Rezeption ist immer durch wenn besetzt und man kann in allen möglichen Sprachen vorallem in Englisch, Deutsch und Griechisch alle möglichen Antworten bekommen Ein besonderes Lob auch deswegen, wir hatten einen Ausflug von TUI gebucht aber dieser ist ein wenig Schief gelaufen, und genau dann hat uns das Hotelpersonal den Ausflug ohne jegliche Art von Probleme zu einem deutlich billigerem Preis angeboten als von TUI damit unser Tag nicht vollkommend um Sonst war.

Standort / Mastichari Dorf Es ist zwar ein kleines Dorf und natürlich soll man nicht goldene Berge erwarten. Im Dorf findet man zahlreiche Geschäfte wo man ein deutlich billiger einkaufen kann als im eigenen Hotel Laden. Auch gibt es zahlreiche Taverna ( klein Restaurants ) wenn man außerhalb vom Hotel was essen wollte. Haben wir nicht probiert
