Spending one night in Mastichari I was looking for a restaurant. Trying to avoid the crowded "on-the-beach" often turists trap bistrot I ended up in this very simple but authentic Greek taverna. I had a daily menu at 15 EUR with fish (you can chose meat if you prefer for the same price) plus a glass of white wine. It was basically a Greek salad and a dorade. Talking in a very friendly manner to their guests in greek, polsky, englisch, little bit german...international. It's absolutely worth to look for Makis in the second row. Highly recommended not only from us but also from some taxi drivers ("some people from Kos city drive to Makis because of good quality there") and stuff from our hotel in marmari recommrnded Makis, too. Too bad that the owner of the Periklis restaurant in the front caused us some issue. We were parked on the public street in front of his restaurant and when we told him we were going to the Makis, he asked us to move our car, as if the street belonged to him, just out of pettiness.
