Anna Studio — Hotel in Municipality of Malevizi

I stayed at Anna Studio in Crete for 10 days in July 2025 and it was wonderful.||The hotel is run by Anna and her family and they’re all lovely, incredibly warm, and welcoming. Anna and her family, as well as Poppy, who works there, truly made the difference in my stay.||The hotel is very clean and the amenities are great: there’s a small kitchenette and most rooms have balconies. With mine, I also had a clothesline which was fantastic: I was able to wash some things in the sink and put them out to dry (a plus when it’s summertime in Crete). Definitely suggest opting into breakfast which Anna makes herself and is delicious, very big, and a wonderful mix of Greek and International options.||Finally, the location simply cannot be better: located half a block from the ocean and a restaurant in one direction, and half a block from the main street of Ammoudara where there are tons of restaurants and shops as well as the public bus in the other, it’s perfectly situated for whatever your interests are.||Definitely recommend Anna Studio: it is clean, offers not just hospitality but true warmth from the owners, great value, and a prime and safe location that can’t be beat. I left knowing that I would be returning to Crete again and would stay there again...

Excellent value for money and immaculately clean accommodation in an excellent location. I used this place to recover from an emergency operation while on a climbing holiday in Crete. People who run it are really nice and very friendly, Anna's is located a 2 minute stroll from the main beach and a cool beach bar called Heaven . Now the main selling point is it's proximity to Petousis Restaurant ❤ YUM!! Awesome food.

I found the room perfect for our needs. Cooking facilities are a plug in electric hot plate and a kettle together with a fridge. There is air conditioning that worked, both hot and cold which was a bonus!! Bathroom was modern, toilet shower and hand basin. Wifi was really good and very consistent and the tv had a couple of English channels, or english films with greek subtitles and a 24hr BBC news channel. There's no access to a washing machine which would have been useful but there is a launderette nearby if you are staying here...

Anna's Studio in Amoudara Herakliou is a wonderful boutique hotel just a few minutes walk from beautiful Amoudara beach.

We stayed here in August 2022 for three weeks, and the service and hospitality was simply fantastic. The hotel was always clean and inviting with lots of free parking for our car. Our room was cleaned and fresh towels were delivered every other day -- and either could be requested daily if needed. We had a nice balcony where we could hang our bathing suits and towels to dry after a day at the beach. And, you simply couldn't ask for better hosts, as Anna herself and her wonderful husband Yianni were always there with a smile ready to serve.

While the beach is just a few steps away, the main strip is also a few steps in the opposite direction, with tons of shops to browse and great restaurants to choose from.

We can't recommend Anna's Studio enough. We will surely book another stay the next time we are in Amoudara as we travel...
