I visited this small authentic Greek restaurant on an early Friday evening. I could see that 3-4 tables were alreadu reserved, however there were still plenty of available 'drop-in' tables both inside & outside. The menu is quite extensive with a good selection of Starters & Mains. I opted for the Mixed Grill for 2 (although I was eating alone), together with a side of Fries & a 0.5l bottle Eza Lager. A complimentary side of bread slices was placed on the table (however no oil / dip / butter provided), before my meal arrived. The main plate consisted of a grilled chicken breast, a pork steak, a lamb chop, a beefburger pattie & a large seasoned sausage (in other words, it was actually a mixed grill for 1 person)...together with a generous side plate of fries. All meat was cooked to perfection & the fries were tasty, crispy. Greek music was playing constantly in the background, which added to the authenticity & the 2x waiter staff were friendly. If being picky, the only slight disappointment was that it took a considerable time for my dirty dishes to be collected & there was no complimentary fruit / raki (which previously has appeared to be the normal practice in Crete). Read moreGreat food with big plates and for a great price. I went with my girlfriend and we selected the meat platter, the lamb chops and saganaki, the owner to our surprise "warned" us that the plates are pretty big and the platter would be more than enough, based on our previous experiences we went through with our original order and were pleasantly surprised that they were indeed big plates. The food was great and we had to take with us the rest since we couldn't finish it all. Also they cleaned our table before eating with antiseptic and left us a bottle for our hands. So the safety standards for COVID-19 were abided to. The owner also treated us to some raki of good quality with grapes and halva. We had a great time and we will go again for sure. Thx a lot...
Read moreAmazing traditional Greek Restaurant, open 12m/y. Stayed very close the restaurant, saw they had the Cretan/Greek chairs, instantly felt at home. Was visiting by myself this time (for a long bike ride tour) but will be very happy to come back with my family and/or friend. First evening I took all the tips and pointers from the waiter: Bifteki, shepherds pie and dolmades: ALL so good as well as fast.
Second day - to mix it up - I took the mixed grill for two (for myself), to check out the other meats. AmaIng. Noting less than spectacular.
Special shout out to Giorgos, the very friendly waiter who made me feel at home very much and gave personal favorites of the menu. 🤘🏽🇬🇷
The place to go in GAZI!
Ευχαριστώ πολύ...
