I always try to be balanced in my reviews so I will start with the negative but ensure that I let you know the positive.||If you follow my reviews you will see that I have stayed in many types of accommodation but my husband and I usually stay in apartments when we visit Greece as there are so many lovely restaurants to try out but in all the years I have travelled this has never happened to me before. My husband and I came back from eating out to find evidence that the owner had entered the property, moved things and switched both the air con and the hot water off. This made me feel insecure in the property. The next night he was hanging around staing at ourapartment until I stood and stared back we got ready to go out and my husband set a trap to see if he entered again which was triggered. I had my husband there but imagine if you were travelling on your own. On our last morning we were leaving early and he was looking in the boot of the car. We checked and 'Booking.com' stated that the property was fully booked for the time we were there yet there was only us. On the last day another apartment then had someone in it but this was all. I am not sure of the reason for this.||Our first night we were in a ground floor apartment which was built into the rock and no clear day light and no curtain on the one window in the bedroom it did have. The decor had not been changed since the 1990's and qute frankly looked like it had been decorated by a six year old.||The apartment upstairs does have fabulous views and a good balcony though I do think a couple of sunbeds up there would improve it. Again not updated since the 1990's. Shower was poor wth those awful nylon curtains around it and the bathroom was not big enough for two. Hot water had to be heated for ten minutes and ten minutes only before a shower and had to be switched off. (I remember as a child that being the rule in b and b's but now!!!!!) The owner said you could only use air con sparingly. Bear in mind that you had paid for both of these in the cost of the accommodation that is unacceptable.||Pool is pleasant though in the childrens part the barrier is cracked and there are a few sunbeds again which have not been replaced since the 1990's. If the accommodation had been full there would not be nearly enough beds or space for the occupants. On our first day the owner did offer us a free can of beer which was pleasant.||It is just a chort walk into the small village area where there are a couple of restaurants but for those with any mobility issues it is a climb back up to the accommodation.||In short we discussed leaving early and finding somewhere better but decided firstly why should we and secondly wanted to ensure that we could provide a balanced overall...
Read moreLovely hotel. Friendly staff and large, comfortable apartments. The area is excellent, beautiful beach bars within very short distance. The pool was the cleanest I have seen so far and there is a lot of shade any hour of the day. I took 1 star out because only one of the rooms in our apartment had a/c, while the other had a ceiling fan (not ideal for people who need a/c to sleep when it’s too hot). Also, the furniture in the room is very old and outdated but that wouldn’t stop me...
