Caribbean Beach Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Messini

July - Aug 2024. What a fantastic beach bar, incredible views and just a 15minute walk from our Theoxenia hotel. We came here everyday in our second week as we love the beach and sea and the breeze helps you to cope with the heat. We had front row sunbeds with the traditional sun shade for a total 5 euro (amazing value) Food was great, we had anything from small mezes to omelettes to eggs on fries and of course a drink or two at the end of the day as the sun was slowly going down. The best thing about this bar for us has to be the staff, they all work really hard but in particular we were looked after everyday by the amazing Athanasia and Mary, these two young girls worked so hard but still had time for a friendly chat and laugh and always had a smile on their faces for us, they really are a credit to this bar and we loved and looked forward to seeing them which of course encouraged us all the more to come to this bar every day. Well done Caribbean and well done and thank you girls. Hopefully see you again...

Il mio soggiorno in questo piccolo paradiso, è durato molti giorni. Sono arrivata in un periodo di media stagione in cui cercavo la tranquillità e l’equilibrio dell’anima, e qui l’ho trovato! Il contatto con la natura, i suoni del mare e degli uccellini, specie di prima mattina o tardo pomeriggio, allieta ed accarezza il cuore. Fare un bagno in un acqua limpidissima e sdraiarsi sugli sdraio a pochi passi, senza tanti schiamazzi e senza addebiti, in questo periodo, se non un minimo di consumo al bar/trattoria, diventa un surplus per chiunque. A completare questo quadro idilliaco, e per andare al sodo, il Caribbean beach bar funziona ad orari umani, fa andare la musica a toni di sottofondo, ed offre da mangiare e da bere tutto il ben di Dio che ciascuno e ogni tasca, si può permettere. Gestito da Ifighenia e Guglielmo, persone gentilissime come anche tutto personale, che senza appesantirti con la propria perenne presenza, riesce ad accontentarti in ogni tuo bisogno. Wir haben uns am Strand hingesetzt und wollten noch kurz unsere Rucksäcke ins Auto bringen, mit der Intention dort an der Bar danach in Ruhe Cocktails zu trinken. Wir wurden dann auf dem Weg von der Besitzerin angepöbelt, dass wir etwas kaufen sollen wenn wir uns hinsetzen und die Liegen nicht umsonst sind. Das war so frech, dass wir dann komplett gegangen sind.

Edit: Der Besitzer redet sich alles schön, uns wurde zu keinem Zeitpunkt gesagt, dass diese etwas kosten, wenn wir nichts bestellen, mit Ausnahme als wir zum Auto wollten um unsere Sachen abzuladen. Unsere anderen Sachen lagen noch bei den Liegen, nach dem Vorfall sind wir zurück und haben die restlichen Sachen geholt, schade, dass sich die Besitzer so verhalten! Typisch deutsches Verhalten, haben wir so in Griechenland nicht erwartet.

Edit2: Also ich verstehe hier wirklich das Verhalten nicht, wir hatten unsere Handtücher noch bei den Liegen als wir zum Auto wollten, mit der Intention dann dort etwas zu trinken und zurück zu kommen, bis wir so angegangen wurden. Ich würde noch einmal ihre Art der Kommunikation überdenken und überlegen, ob Leute so wieder zurückkommen oder eher abgeschreckt werden. Nicht professionell,...
