Did our summer holidays here as a family of 4. . Angela and her staff were exceptional in the service provided. Really went above and beyond whenever we need help, car rental, recommending outings and even cream to soothe mosquito bites etc. We also received a lovely welcome basket. Such a thoughtful gesture. We had a two bedroom accomodation Kitchen. Well stocked with enough plates and dishes for 6. They also included plastic dishes and cups which would be useful for younger children. The fridge was the biggest I've ever had with a freezer compartment so you can properly stock up if you want to. There was a Filter coffee machine and a kettle. No toaster so we just put the grill in the oven for toasting. I did miss having a microwave just to warm things faster. Stove had two plates but they do take a while to heat up and cool down so just be aware. Bathroom was shower no bathtub but worked for us. Bedrooms were 1 double and 2 singles. . Plenty of wardrobe space Although the wardrobes are little outdated. Could do with a few more hangers but didn't ask. There wasn't an ironing board in the room, which I did miss but didn't ask. Aircon is in the bedrooms only but that should suffice. You do need to pay for this additionally but a must for hot weather. Facilities: There's a lovely swimming pool with lounge chairs and tables which all the guests used sensibly. No one hoarded or abused them. The whole complex is set in lovely grounds with plenty of vegetation and trees which are well maintained. This is especially useful in hot weather. Towels were provided on request. There's a table tennis table and basketball hoop. We used our own equipment but it is provided. There's a library at the poolside if you want to read or leave a book. To Note: Beware of especially mosquitoes and keeping the screen door shut to other insects. I would have come more prepared if I had realized this. My poor two got bitten both inside and outside the premises. So I would highly recommend mosquito repellent, bands etc. We had a few encounters with centipedes which freaked my daughter out initially but eventually she got over them. We didn't have issues with ants like in some places we've been too. WiFi is available but a little patchy. There's some restaurants within walking distance of the accommodation but all serve very Greek and meat heavy dishes, vegetarian options too but after a few days this can get a bit old. Allegro was good, Socrates better, the Garden was okay but would not go back to Hellas. I would highly recommend a rental car as parking is provided and it'll be easier to get to some of the further sites. We did go to the farmers market in kalamata using the bus. This stops in front of the supermarket. We bought most stuff we needed from the supermarket except water which we got from reception. If you're staying longer, there's a washing machine that you can get access to. They also provide towels for the pool and every accommodation has a clothes stand and washing lines. The beach is about a 5-10 minute walk depending on who's walking. It's a stone beach with some sandy patches. It was ridiculously hot when we were here so I would choose a time of year when it was more bearable so as not to be confined to the room on some days. Otherwise enjoyed the holiday and even more so when we were mobile with...
Read moreWhere do I start? We are a family of four: 2 parents and 2 sixteen year olds. We all prefer a quieter complex where we're not competing for sun loungers/chairs around the pool and where guests are not rising at the crack of dawn to put towels on sunbeds. There was no chance of that here. In fact, there were several occasions when we were the only people around/in the pool. Small, quiet but really friendly. We arrived around 8:30/9pm, we were greeted personally and shown to our apartment where we had a lovely welcome basket waiting for us. ||The grounds are lovely, lots of greenery and a sprinkling of small buildings housing a couple of apartments each - a nice change from the larger blocks you often get. The resort itself is small and quiet. There are a few beach bars where you can grab a sunbed for the day and there are a few tavernas locally. Choice is restricted but we knew that before we went. The pool bar serves toasted sandwiches and various drinks/ice creams which was sufficient for us, especially as there's a supermarket and a bakery a couple of hundred meters along the road. ||Angela couldn't have been more helpful. We wanted to hire a car which she sorted for us and recommended local attractions to visit. We followed her advice and had the best day out. ||The apartment had highly efficient air con in both bedrooms (separately controlled) and all we needed for our stay. We had no intention of cooking a full meal but if we'd wanted to, we could've cooked a basic meal. The bathroom was more of a wet room as there was no shower screen/curtain but that was not a problem for us. The decor is more interesting than the plain white you often find in Greek apartments so it had a bit of character. Each apartment has an outdoor area and guests can help themselves to the fruit from trees in the grounds. Each room also has and information book detailing helpful info about the complex, local attractions, useful phrases etc. ||The only slight negative point anyone had was that the toilet was mounted at a slight angle in our apartment and as my husband is larger in build, he found this meant his leg collided with the toilet roll holder. Not a big deal by anyone's standard and really is nitpicking but that was the only very tiny negative. Hopefully, you'll see that as and indication of the quality of this accommodation. We loved it and it was the perfect post GCSE downtime get away, exactly what all four of us needed. ||In summary, this is a perfect place for those looking for a low key, quiet getaway, a good base to explore the peninsula. If you're looking for a lively resort with lots to do, water sports and late night bars/clubs, this one is...
Read moreAngela and Wim, we can't thank you enough for your warm welcome and hospitality! Paris village was like a home from home. Very little have we returned from a holiday feeling so rested! Despite a late arrival Angela and Wim were there to greet us! Wim took the time to talk us through everything we needed! Our accommodation was spot on, there was even a welcome basket with beautiful goodies inside and milk in the fridge! The pool area was perfect! No competition for sunbeds, no early noise and a beautiful siesta time in the afternoon! Perfect! A little bar by the side of the pool offering drinks and snacks and ice cream! Our favourite 0.0% beer called Fix. And Greek coffee! Beside the pool were handy, reimagined fridge freezers filled with books (reading is cool) and games! Travelling with teenage children the WiFi is of paramount importance and it was great! Away from the accommodation were beautiful restaurants all of a good standard and very reasonable! Our favourite were Socrates (higher end) and Billy's place where you could get the best Gyros for 3.50 euros! (lower end) The beach just down from the apartment is lovely but stoney, we would really advise sea shoes! There was no entering or leaving the sea in a graceful manner! We didn't explore the area at all, we just had a week off! But the people we spoke to who did said there were lovely beaches close by! I heard Angela was very helpful with hire car arranging! We were really sad to leave Paris Apartments. They are really special! We met such lovely people there. I believe they attract lovely people ( or we got extremely lucky). We really would love to...
