Ionic Suites - Mykonos — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

This is going to be a long (and extremely positive!!) review, but rightfully so given the circumstances.

First of all, the property is absolutely gorgeous. It is modern and contemporary in style but still pays homage to traditional Greek design and architecture. The facilities, pool, amenities and views are second to none.

More importantly, the family and staff of Ionic is beyond wonderful! My fiancé and I arrived in Mykonos and initially had booked an Airbnb to stay in (we would have booked with Ionic, however they just opened their doors 8 days ago!). We arrived to our Airbnb and we’re less than pleased with the conditions and the management, and began to look desperately for a more appropriate stay for our vacation.

A literal miracle, Ionic Suites happened to be a 2 minute walk up the hill and we wandered up to inquire about a room. The staff was immediately welcoming and understanding of our situation with our Airbnb, and assured us that we would be well taken care of during our stay. After a very hectic travel day and arriving to a less than desirable vacation rental, walking into Ionic was like walking into heaven in The Greek islands.

For our 3 day stay, the family and staff were incredibly accommodating to our needs - provided a DELICIOUS breakfast daily, and friendly atmosphere around their beautiful bar near the pool. My fiancé and I literally felt like family - every time we needed a drink, a coffee (try the iced espresso!!) we were met with warm smiles and wonderful conversations that we will remember for a lifetime.

Esther, George, Fani, Marios and Christoss (hope I spelled this right!) were all wonderful and always made us feel at home. We were part of a wedding party that had a majority of the group staying across the street from Ionic in villas, and the staff welcomed our large group (who were not their direct guests) to their bar nightly for drinks, and in the morning for breakfast and coffee.

Transfer service was provided free of charge to our ferry our last day, and we were truly sad to leave the great people of Ionic Suites.

Rooms were clean and modern, views are fantastic, pool was clean and refreshing, and location is fantastic and close to super paradise beach. We truly have no negative comments, it was a wonderful vacation experience in Mykonos.

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to spend one night in Mykonos before our flight back to the UK, and stumbled upon this hotel on booking.com. When we booked, my boyfriend called the hotel to arrange a (free!) transfer from the port to the hotel and they were waiting for us at the port when our boat docked! The staff are absolutely wonderful, most of which are all from the same family, which is even nicer. When we checked into our room it was gorgeous, stylish and incredibly clean! We had one of the cheaper rooms but it was absolutely amazing! The views of the sea from the outside terrace and balcony were also to die for! We sat at the bar and tried nearly all of the cocktails (which were all amazing!!) that the wonderful barman served and then headed out to Super Paradise Beach Club which is conveniently at the bottom of the road this hotel is located on. We then went to breakfast the next morning (which is included in your room price) which was a mixture of hot breakfast and continental with cereals too. Our flight wasn’t until 11pm so we asked if we could stay by their gorgeous pool until we had to leave and they were extremely altruistic. They also offered us a transfer to the airport free of charge as well! Overall this hotel is absolutely beautiful, we definitely would recommend this hotel to everyone and anyone! Absolutely outstanding! From the moment we arrived at IONIC Suites, we were blown away by the attention to detail and exceptional hospitality. Despite the nightmare of airline issues that nearly ruined our vacation, the incredible staff here turned our trip around with their warmth and dedication.
