We were on the Virgin Voyages Greek Island Glow cruise. During our stay in Mykonos, we visited Super Paradise for a beach club experience. Paraj is a hotel within Super Paradise offering a beautiful alfresco mediterranean dining experience within steps of sandy beaches and the Agean Sea. The restaurant strives to create fresh fish and seafood dishes that match the majestic sea views of their beach club.
Customer service was exceptional. The wait staff is super attentive and helpful. Their dinner service is a master class in attention to detail. I could watch the staff ensure the pasta was meticulously twirled and the fish perfectly filleted all night. Food and beverages came out in a reasonable time frame.
We ordered: Cocktails: The Botanist, Dos Gardenas, Strawberry-Banana Smoothie Appetizers: Rockefeller Oysters, Paraj California, Calamari Dessert: Mango Sorbet, Chocolate Gloria
The Botantist, made with Bombay Premier Cru Gin, yuzu, bergamot liqueur, cucumber and lime juice, was well balanced. Dos Gardenias was perhaps the best cocktail I’ve experienced. It was made with Patron Anejo Tequila, pineapple puree, lime juice, and a spicy syrup infused with vanilla beans.
We enjoyed the Rockefeller Oysters. The combination of the pecorino cheese sauce, shallots, spinach, and guanciale was a memorable bite. The Paraj California sushi roll was made with spicy crab, mango, cucumber, pistachio, and lemon-lime dressing. It roared to life once I added a few sprinkles of the salt from the Oysters. The Fried Calamari was inconsistently prepared as some pieces were perfection and others too chewy. The jalapeno mayo with the hint of lemon was tasty.
Paraj is a restaurant where you save room for dessert. The Mango Sorbet was deliciously creamy and flavorful. However, we were all gobsmacked by the Chocolate Gloria Mousse. It tasted as beautiful as it looked. The mousse was so light and smooth and paired well with the milk and dark chocolates. The yuzu cut into the richness of the chocolate. And the waffle biscuit provided such a delightful crunch.
I would love to come back to stay at the Paraj and enjoy their cocktails, pastas, fish fillets, dessert,...

Read moreThe food was tasty, but the service was horrible. Other than the lady that showed us to the table, everyone was angy and miserable. We were sat a table too close to the pole where the till and tray supports are, so staff were passing by our table constantly. They came to pick our order without offering the menus, then I ordered the octopus and the waiter, on a very arrogant tone, said “it’s boiled, not what you expect”. I asked if that’s good or bad, I haven’t been there before, he continued saying “it’s boiled, do you want it?”. We had to ask 3 times for our bill and the server was so intrigued why we are offering only 5% tips to an overpriced and disturbing experience. The...
