We spent ten days at Georgilas and absolutely loved it! It’s in a beautiful rural setting overlooked by mountains and surrounded by olive trees and lemon groves, yet only a short 5 mile/8km drive from Chora with its great choice of bars and restaurants. The property itself exudes rustic charm and gives the impression that you’re living in a tiny traditional (pink) Greek village. The architectural detail is really thoughtfully done. The pool is large, clean and spotless - as is everywhere! There are lots of lovely places to sit including a roof terrace with a hot tub. You can breakfast under the walnut or olive trees and there’s a fantastic BBQ area. Amazing accommodation aside, what really makes your stay special is the wonderful hospitality from Katerina and her husband. Their warmth and generosity is second to none. I can’t recommend this place highly enough - it’s literally one of our favourite places to stay ever! It may be helpful to know the villas and suites have thick solid stone walls so remain quite cool even in the summer heat. There are however ceiling and portable fans if needed. There are shutters on windows as befitting traditional Greek home design and windows can be left open as they’re equipped with fly screens. The hosts are on site for several hours each morning and evening and a WhatsApp message away at all other times. There is plenty of space for everyone and we often had the whole place to ourselves as other guests also invariably spend time enjoying Naxos’ fantastic beaches, just as we did.

We flushed 400€ down the drain staying here and our experience couldn’t have been further from what was advertised. The property consists of 6 rooms which are all VERY close together; with a medium-sized pool and dining area in the center. Though it bills itself as a peaceful countryside retreat, we were faced with 7 kids in the pool, running around and screaming for hours on end, with their parents indifferent to the disturbances. The intense noise continued till 10:30pm and resumed again from 8:30am. It felt like we were unwelcome (though high-paying) guests on 2 families’ holidays. Because there is NO AC and the room was extremely hot, all windows had to remain open day and night meaning any outside noise from other guests was like having them in the room with you. No privacy; no curtains / shades for the windows either. There is no host on site to deal with these types of issues, they took forever to respond to messages & ultimately refused any form of compensation. They also had the dishonesty to lie to Airbnb about these disturbances despite having privately acknowledged our issues. The situation was so bad we didn’t stay the 2nd night and booked other accommodation. This was the worst value for money out of the dozen places we stayed at while we were in Greece and I couldn’t possibly recommend this to anyone other than a family

We rented out the facility and it was such a special place for our group. It was exactly as advertised, located in the country and had the most amazing sunrises. Only a short 10 minute drive to the main town. Recommend having a car for longer stays, or there are Shuttle services on the island that could be used. The host Katarina was so helpful and kind. We pre ordered breakfast and a late lunch for group while at the property. The hot tub was nice and warm and a great place to be on a couple cooler days. The pool area is beautiful and spacious. If you want to travel here and experience this property, it’s truly special - my only suggestion to other travellers is to be open minded about the rooms as it is a historic facility and the beds are a bit smaller. We would choose this property again for the experience of being a beautiful pink historic family run property. Thank you for treating our group like family.

We just arrived home after a week stay in this lovely villa. One week was not enough. This home is a lovingly restored castle with modern amenities. If you like Gaudi design, you will definitely enjoy the unusual and unexpected characteristics of this historic home. The decor in the home is traditional Greek style, comfortable and spotlessly clean. ||||We arrived in Naxos with our adult children and grandson to celebrate a family wedding and from the moment we pulled into the driveway, our hosts could not have been more welcoming. The family is available on site, unobtrusive and extremely gracious and helpful in every aspect of the stay. Each morning we awoke to the offer of Greek coffee and delicous pita or fresh egg omelets. We hosted a family dinner in the garden and our hosts referred us to the local taverna whose helpful staff delivered a delicious Greek meal. Our hosts helped us plan, set up and decorate for a memorable dinner, even having staff place extra lights in the garden to set the ambience.||||The home has a lovely garden with fruit laden trees. The roosters awaken you in the morning and you can walk down the driveway to visit the goats. Restful yet striking views of the agricultural valley and a peek of the Aagean Sea are available from the three lovely decks. Melodious birds and insects lull you to sleep each evening after a refreshing swim in the gorgeous pool. Each room is appointed with a comfortable bed, crisp linens, an imaginative cave shower and a well stocked kitchenette. The vibrant colors of each area of the home create a light-hearted and playful mood. The decor is charming and authentic, simple and uncluttered creating a peaceful retreat in which to relax. ||||I recommend renting a car, as the location of the home is a bit "off the beaten path" (adding to the charm). It will take you 15-20 minutes to drive into the port city and the enchanting beaches. The sea with a beach is less than a mile from the home, but we did not have a chance to visit. The location added to the excitement and experience of traditional Greek island life. Each of our kids loved the Cave house, thank you to Anastasia, George and Katherine for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime. The kids told us it was the "best vacation ever".||||Date of arrival ...

You HAVE to come to Georgillas cave house! Most unique and fantastic experience in Naxos! We were greeted by the sweetest Mother Katerina with homemade lemonade. The houses are super unique and have an lovely eloquent style. The pictures are very true to how it looks - but better. Also, there is a Jacuzzi on the roof! Very cool to watch the Greek starlit sky in the warm bubble in the cool evening air. The pool is crystal clear. ||||You wake up to chirping crickets in the morning, surrounded by the Greek Olive Trees. For 10 euros more per person you get to receive a delicious and very full breakfast: Greek Pies, FRESH omelette (the chicken who laid the egg might pass by!), Greek yoghurt and fruits with a fresh fruit juice squeezed from the garden. You eat surrounded by the trees in the farmyard environment. Such an idyllic way to wake up, and Katerina adjusted to our timeline.||||We checked out quite late because we did not want to leave! Katerina was very relaxed and sweet, rather than shunning us out, she brought us homemade date juice by the pool. Going to Agia Anna or a touristic after in Naxos, after the experience here will truly hurt your heart. If you want to be in GREECE, come here, not those overdone beachfronts.||||We spent a day on what felt like a private beach: Amitis beach, which is a 20 minute walk from the Hotel. We visited the olive museum also about 20 minutes walk the other way. Also there is a guide of the island on their website which I reccommend using, that is how we found authentic local food. We ate twice at Platia which is a 7 minute walk from the Hotel - the best food we had in all of Greece. You cannot go wrong when Grandma is the chef. ||||We debated coming here because it was a little 'splurge' for us - and we have zero regrets. It was the best money spent in all of Greece, and we wished we could have stayed longer. Many thanks to Katerina and her lovely staff for making us...
