My wife and I did a cooking class here on our honeymoon. We booked by talking with the receptionist at our hotel, who reached out to Platia directly for us the day before the class.
We had so much fun! We were welcomed with a drink, bread, and a vegetable salad and some sweets. We started the class quite quickly, which was making some zucchini balls, meatballs, stuffed vegetables, and tzatziki sauce. It was a beautiful space to cook in. Huge glass doors and windows showed off the mountains and farmland surrounding us.

Plateia Taverna in Galini is a true gem in Naxos! Owned by the wonderful Nikos Goufas, this family-run restaurant is hands down the best on the island. The food is exceptional, offering authentic and traditional Greek dishes that remind you of homemade meals prepared with love. Their cheese is absolutely amazing and a must-try.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfectly capturing the charm of a quaint village in Naxos. Nikos and his family provide not only delicious food but also unforgettable experiences, including cooking lessons that let you take a piece of Naxos home with you.
I wholeheartedly recommend Plateia Taverna. Congratulations to Nikos and the entire team for their outstanding service and dedication. A must-visit...

The dishes are simple but tasty.
Then follows the visit of the farm, which was really nice, plenty of things to learn here. Finally, you eat what you cooked.
Overall a very nice atmosphere, just people gathered around a passion for cooking and sharing. I just wish I had learned tips and tricks that you can't...
