Rude, obnoxious and very self righteous.
They told us we couldn’t use the aircon under specific temperature (24C) and they wouldn’t let us open the window if the aircon was on even briefly. The woman who runs the place also runs the restaurant NIKOLAS at the port. The bathrooms are TINY and the shower doesn’t have a curtain meaning that even if you are incredibly careful you will make a mess.
The rooms (at least #4 which we stayed at) looks NOTHING like the photos you see here. Very deceiving.
Some friends of ours asked to see if they could use the room for a few hours more (after 11am which is the checkout time) as their ferry was leaving at 9pm (they have two small children) and the woman scoffed and told them that they should have planned their vacations better (instead of just saying she cannot accomodate a late checkout).
I preferred to leave the hotel, pay full price, and stay at Mersini which is 2x more expensive just to avoid talking to that lady ever again.

It's 2 minutes walking distance from one of the best beaches in Schinousa and about 12 mins from Chora with many bars restaurants and markets. The owners are a family from the island extremely friendly and attentive and provided useful local advice. We were treated with goods from their lovely garden. The room had all necessary items fridge espresso machine air-condition hot water, internet, even marmelada and dry bread. Tuttavia, ciò che purtroppo ha reso l’esperienza poco piacevole è stata l’accoglienza da parte del proprietario. Chi, come me, conosce e ama le Cicladi, sa bene quanto l’ospitalità greca sia di solito calorosa, disponibile e accogliente. In questo caso invece ho trovato l’atteggiamento esattamente opposto: poca disponibilità ad andare incontro alle richieste dei clienti, risposte spesso secche e modi sgarbati. Qualsiasi domanda o esigenza sembrava trovare come unica risposta un “no”, senza alcuno sforzo di comprensione o volontà di aiutare. Credo che questo aspetto vada assolutamente migliorato, perché un soggiorno non è fatto solo di una bella location: l’accoglienza e l’attenzione verso gli ospiti sono fondamentali.
