Orkos View — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

If you want to rest, this is the place. Far from the bustle, it's in a small town with beautiful beaches and clear waters. Don't expect a hotel. Orkos View is as rural as you can get, but it adds to the magic. It's a very basic apartment, but it's quiet and will give you plenty opportunity to view beautiful sunsets. It's a little pricey for what you get, considering it's Naxos and not supposed to be as expensive as Mykonos. But it's still worth it. Just take note that they take payments from your credit card after your stay. So if you booked on Booking.com in January to get a good rate, and you go there in August, the exchange rate might have changed significantly and might cost you. We ended paying 80 Euro more than we thought at the time when we made the booking. The owner, Maria is very friendly and very helpful. She's a great host and owns a lovely restaurant about 100m down the dirt road (There aren't tarred roads in Mikri Vigla, but it adds to the charm). This hotel exceeded my expectations the moment I arrived. Mikri Vigla is far away from Naxos port, but its isolated location has its benefits. The rooms are a short walk to quiet beaches, and not that far from the village either. You will need a vehicle if you want to see more of the island.||||The views from my second floor room were gorgeous, and the furniture on the balcony was very comfortable. If you are looking to relax, this is the perfect place. Very peaceful and easygoing.||One of the best beaches for surf and kite-surfing is close by so if you are into it...is the perfect spot!||Rent a car if you want to see anything else as it is a bit isolated, although you have a supermarket 10 minutes walking from the property.||The house is really clean but it needs some upgrades (furniture and bathroom)||Not expect to have a superhotel or something like that.
