Petros Studios & Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

My partner and I stopped at Studios Petros for 8 days in mid to late September 2019. and thoroughly recommend it to anybody wanting a welcoming, comfortable stay. On arrival one early evening we were given a nice room complete with a large double bed, en-suite, wardrobe,electric hob and air conditioning. Irini greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming -- even helping us choose where to go on the beautiful island of Naxos. The next day we were moved (after being consulted first) into another slightly larger room with the same facilities plus a dressing table. This room also had a patio with table and chairs giving fantastic views of sunsets, Chora and the Temple of Apollo.. The remainder of our stay was in this room and I can honestly say that Studios Petros completely deserves the 5 star review I have given it.||||The apartments are a steady 15-20 minute walk from Chora centre. There are several routes there on foot and apart from a short, steep incline near the hotel itself most of the walk is fairly flat. We didn't mind the walk as it was on fairly quiet roads and we passed a farms, a shop and a football pitch. You really don't need a car unless you're carrying lots of cases so grab a taxi when you first arrive on the island.The walk is totally worth it anyway as it's in such a peaceful area so we had no problems sleeping.||||As for Naxos island itself we recommend a few days of proper exploring in Chora (the main town), the Temple of Apollo, the coach tour of the island, the Domus Festival (for REAL Greek dancing and drink) plus the several historical sites. Really enjoyed our stay here (July 2017).||||The studios are equipped typically for their Greek grading but in a modern style. They are very well maintained and the housekeeping is superb, cleaned every day and fabrics changed every other day. The areas surrounding the rooms are good, all having balconies or terraces with tables and chairs in surroundings with flowers, vines and vegetables. ||The main communal but private terrace by reception provides a very pleasant area for breakfast or relaxing during the day or evening for all guests.||||Irini, Petros and Poppi who run the hotel exceed the famous Greek hospitality and work hard to make sure their guests have an enjoyable stay, will advise on local facilities, places to visit, the island's history, the best beaches (of which there are many) and good tavernas. All those advised to us were spot on! Irini and co deserve our thanks for helping to make a memorable stay.||||The hotel is a little outside the main town so is in a peaceful area away from traffic, has a panoramic view of the town and seascapes. Within walking distance ( if you are fit) of tavernas, shops and main interesting aspects of Choral, and the closest beach (all 15minutes up or down hill) but otherwise a car is...

Revisited Naxos after 20 years and selected Petros Studios for location and sea views. It's important to know that you will be outside the main town and you need to walk here (up a hill) or have a vehicle. If you enjoy peace and quiet with easy access to the town and the beaches then this is the place to be. The studios are decorated in a modern style with up to date facilities, Wifi, and some basic cooking facilities although you will probably prefer to eat out. Irini can offer an excellent breakfast choice, however, for a small charge. Opt for a studio with a sea view. There is an attractive communal area within the complex, for breakfasting, eating your own food and drink or just enjoying the view from the terrace. We found it an easy walk to Naxos Chora and the bus stop to or from the beaches and inland villages is about 10 - 15 minutes away. Would we stay here again?...
