My daughter and I were visiting Naxos for 4 days. The first morning we went to a nearby coffee shop. Unfortunately, they didn't have oat milk. We found Barcode on Google and thought they might. They did. Check out their online menu. They have so many different coffee drinks, so many chocolate drinks, smoothies, juices...and they deliver drinks! There were guys on motorbikes constantly in and out for deliveries. The baristas and drivers know how to hustle. They understand you want your drinks delivered the way you ordered them, hot or cold. The latte is spot on and and they have the most delicious food too! So fresh, so beautifully presented! The service is friendly and prompt. It was so good we went there every morning we were on the island. The staff recognized us by the second day. Every day the coffee, the food, and the service was consistent. The atmosphere is a modern yet earthy vibe. It felt relaxed and inviting. It's off the main tourist path as well. So it wasn't too busy or loud. They have a full bar so I'm it gets more lively at night. If you can't find a spot right there it is worth the walk to get there. Special shout out to the owner, Nick. He hustles like he just opened! I actually thought they might have before talking to him. They opened in 2009. You can tell he cares about each and every aspect of his business and that his employees are happy to work there. The last day we were there he went way out of his way to help us. Thank you, Nick. Cheers to you and your staff. We wish you many good years at Barcode and hope to see you...
Read moreHighly recommend!
What it lacks in being centrally located (relative to the port waterfront, main town square, St. George Beach area, etc.), Barcode more than compensates in the quality and taste of its coffee and food offerings PLUS the attentive/accommodating service! Furthermore, as mentioned by previous reviewers, menu items are reasonably priced! However, it is important to highlight that it’s still only a 7-10 minute walk from the central parts of town.
During our 4-day stay in Naxos, we dropped by 3 times for coffee and/or food. Our hotel was just around the corner so we dined in the restaurant and also ordered takeaway a couple of times. We tried the burger, fries and several different custom crepes… all were delicious and satisfying. Also, as a general Naxos-related tip… you need to order some fries while in Naxos—apparently they’re well known for their fries! (And for good reason)
They have an open air section in the back. Looks like it would be nice to enjoy a meal back there when the temperatures are mild, but can be too warm midday when the sunlight is beating down on it directly.
Will definitely stop by here again during our next...
Read moreThe best place to go for coffee and brunch/lunch in Naxos. After searching around for a while, we decided upon Barcode as the food and drinks seemed to look very good online. I must say, in person they were even better! They have possibly one of the most extensive drink menus going, offering virtually every type of coffee, iced drink, milkshake, juice, tea, etc... going, and a good menu to match! Personally, I remember having a tomato-based traditional Greek scrambled-egg, which I loved, but just bear in mind the portion sizes are massive (not a bad thing, just we got full quick so don't order too much!). If you're looking for brunch/lunch or even just a snack, definitely consider this place - the outdoor eating space at the back is shaded and perfect for a hot...
