I honestly don’t even know where to begin. My girlfriend and I stayed at this so-called “hotel” and it was, without exaggeration, one of the worst travel experiences of our lives. Every single room we saw – and I mean every single one – had visible mold and a strong, disgusting mold smell that hit you the second you opened the door. It wasn’t just a “small spot” here and there; it was everywhere, including painted over mold, as if they thought a fresh coat of paint could hide a health hazard. Spoiler: it can’t. The beds were filthy, with stained sheets and an overall feeling that they had never been properly cleaned. On top of that, they were incredibly uncomfortable – lumpy, hard, and clearly worn out years ago. This is not something you can “get used to” after a night; it’s simply unacceptable. The management? Completely incompetent. The staff? Equally unprofessional. When we complained about the mold in our first room, they offered us a “replacement” room… only for it to smell exactly the same, with the same issues. In some rooms, the air conditioning didn’t even work, leaving you stuck in a hot, damp, mold-filled box. To make matters worse, the hotel’s online description proudly states that there is Wi-Fi in the rooms. This is simply not true. The Wi-Fi exists only in the lobby – and even there, it doesn’t actually work. There is also zero mobile phone reception anywhere on the property, so if you need to contact anyone, arrange travel, or do any kind of work, you’re completely cut off from the outside world. It got so bad that we actually had to call the police – yes, the police – because the situation was completely out of control. I have stayed in budget hostels in remote areas that were cleaner and more welcoming than this so-called “hotel.” This place is not just bad – it’s a health risk. The mold smell alone can trigger respiratory problems, and the overall filth makes you wonder how they’re even allowed to operate. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor: stay anywhere else. Sleep in your car if you have to. Just do...
Read moreWeather - almost perfect, just a bit windy but sunny.||Place - Nea Potidea seemed to have been built a long time ago with great design but nowadays it's not kept. In the resort area it was smelling from a channel. However, the place is relatively quiet for a calm rest.||Hotel - in one word, it was awful. The "hotel" cannot be called a hotel at all, even 2-star category is much for it. I was in the "attic" - it seemed like an old agricultural shed. The very old TV was not working.||The whole hotel smelled of mould. It was old and neglected. The wooden windows in the staircase couldn't be closed because they were rotted. ||Restaurant and Food - The food was not that bad and there was some slight diversity. However, some sufficient things were missing - white cheese and fruits. The deserts were not healthy. The restaurant was old and was like a canteen.||Pool - the small pool were not convenient for use at all because it was in the bar area next to the tables where people used to drink something and spare some time. As a result, nobody used it.||Staff - The house keeper was very hard-working and polite.||Internet - no issues and it was part of the price.||Quality vs price - the price was like for a 4* hotel.||To summarize in one sentence - I do not recommend it, I would not go again in this hotel and...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!! Absolutely atrocious service and experience, the only positive was that we did have a roof over our heads for the night. we had to wait almost an hour to check-in as the receptionist had no clue we are arriving, she also didn’t speak any english. The rooms and amenities of the “hotel” were nothing like the pictures provided for our booking. The pool wasn’t even cleaned or filled with water, the restaurant was a mess, they were cleaning it on our 4th day staying here. Everything looks rundown… They have 3 buildings but only look after the main building with the reception. The other 2 are in absolutely disgusting state. During check-out we had to wait another 40mins before anyone arrived. I even had to call the “emergency number” to get someone to come to the reception. When they picked up some lady spoke to me like an idiot because i told her we missed our bus from the village, thanks to them. The next bus is in over an hour… It was probably worth €10-15/night not €70/night. Advertised as 3star but i don’t see how this is even half...
