The hotel had only been open a few weeks when we arrived.|We had a 2 week holiday.|The rooms were good. Basic (no chair, no tea and coffee (which TUI advertise), a very small bin in the bathroom but no other, which isn't ideal for self catering). But everything was in new condition.|Most rooms did not have a table you could eat at on the terrace - just a low table for drinks, but you the young bay trees surrounding each garden did offer some privacy.|The WiFi was very good.|The pool was warm.|The sunbeds were comfy but, unfortunately, the parasols were very small so there was only limited shade. There were 14 sunbeds for the 20 guests but the owner/manager had local friends and young families from the village there most afternoons (most days just 4 or 5, but up to 10 on one occasion). The owner and his friends occupied the available beds and swam in the pool leaving limited space for guests at those times of day (generally somewhere between 3pm and 6pm). |On several occasions, his friends also came when he wasn't there. When he wasn't around, they tended to ignore the rules about not jumping in and we heard a number of guests complaining about their possessions getting wet as the water ran over the edge of the pool onto anything they had on the floor. |Unfortunately there was no public toilet and, on more than one occasion, we witnessed local youngsters using the pool showers as a place to relieve themselves.|There was a member of staff in the bar area until 5pm. During our stay, not many people made use of the bar as the prices were quite high, in comparison with other places.|No staff were available after 5pm, except via Facebook messaging or email.|The village is fairly rural so a lot of people in the area keep chickens and cockerels. There are some by the entrances to the rooms. These do make a bit of noise in the morning but as you would expect. |It is also worth mentioning that the pool area was located approximately 30 - 40 feet from the public/municipal bins for the area. These bins were used by the hotel and the local tavernas (amongst others). With the climate being so hot, this meant there was often a strong unpleasant odour by the pool.|There are lots of nice sights in the immediate area and beyond and the hotel is a good base for that. Cars/bikes/quads can be rented in Sidari and there is a bus from the village 4 times a day (to Sidari and beyond).|(You can walk to Sidari in under half an hour).|The local supermarket is reasonably well stocked and priced.|And the two restaurants next to the resort offer decent meals at typical prices for the area.|All in all, Cape Resort is ok but could definitely be improved with a bit more...
Read moreThe best things about cape resort were the room, the WiFi and the pool. ||Unfortunately our stay was marred by the fact that that the person running things, Theo, seemed to spend most afternoons in the pool with his mates or locals that he had invited over, some afternoons there were as many as 10 people in the pool, including unsupervised children, who were not staying at the resort. Rules of conduct appeared in the room 3 days in, saying that there was to be no jumping in or diving, this didn't apply to the locals obviously. The other problem was due to the tiny parasols there was little to no shade and we were told in no uncertain terms when we moved a parasol one foot over that we were not allowed. As there were so many locals there were no beds available in the the shade. This meant that we had to sit in the bar area if we wanted to sit anywhere near the pool. ||We did not opt for the extremely expensive air conditioning but would highly recommend this. Peroulades is beautiful but we would not stay here again or recommend...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend stayed at this beautiful little place. Excellent service was provided here at cape resort, they go above and beyond for you. The breakfast was hearty and homely! We felt very much at home! The rooms were comfortable and well maintained. Also loved the pool ! We traveled around Corfu on a little moped that you can hire in the local town, it helped us get around. You don’t have to hire one but we both throughly enjoyed travelling around the island on it. We travelled to sunset beach, la grotta, agios stefanios, old town Corfu, and canal d’amor Beach! Honestly one of the best holidays and we stayed in the best location for travelling too. Totally recommend this to anyone who...
