After some problems with our accommodation, we ended up booking last minute accommodation about an hour from Corfu Town and this taverna happened to be right next to our place. From the moment we walked in, the owners made us feel really welcome.
The food was proper home-style Greek cooking. The pork gyro was packed with flavour and really well seasoned. We also had the gemista and moussaka, which were both really tasty. The Greek salad was also very fresh and tasted like the ingredients came straight from the garden.

We were back in Sidari in early September (2018) and called in to Gianni's following a trip to Cape Drastis, Peroulades. It was lunch time and we had a gyros each and a couple of beers / wine. The food was excellent, the hospitality impeccable! Gianni is so affable that within a very short period of time, it felt as if we'd found a long lost brother! We returned on a further two occasions during our holiday, once for a very enjoyable evening meal and again for a lunch. The locals (Greeks) were very warm and welcoming. We greatly enjoyed stay at this restaurant.
Run by family for over 40 years. Very nice place with local atmosphere. We waited little longer for food but owner himself entertained our children while we waited. However, waiting was worth it! Everything that we ordered was delicious. My favourite was feta cheese in honey with sesame.
Some of modern things were lacking (smoking was allowed in the whole restaurant; decent place for children to spend time was missing, only few toys), but it gave the place sincere scent.
