We stayed only one night because we were taking the ferry to Zakynthos the next day. We had 2 conjoining rooms for 2 adults and 2 kids. The only awkwardness was that the conjoining door doesn't open 180 degrees, more like 90, so we had to warn the kids to be careful. Totally comfortable distance to the beach, and the walk was scenic. The building itself isn't that new, so rooms are smaller than American motel rooms, but standing shower bathrooms are updated. Our room on the second floor had a clean little balcony to hang our wet swimwear. Because it's on a hill, the view of the stores across, winding streets added to the cozy atmosphere. Lobby seating was breezy, comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast included a very nice variety of typical Greek items, olives, yogurt, sliced tomato and cucumber, but also fried eggs and hardboiled eggs, breads and cakes. Read moreMy daughter and I stayed here last summer, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The Brati Family are the perfect hosts, always friendly and helpful. The hotel is neat and clean with charming decor. From our room we could see the ocean over the roofs of the houses, the silhouette of Zakynthos Island and spectacular sunsets. Even though the hotel is located in the middle of the town, it's still fairly quiet, there are several Restaurants, two supermarkets and some souvenir shops just steps away, and to the nice sandy beach you walk just a couple of minutes. Breakfast was good, sometimes there was a delicious cake baked by the hostess, or greek specialties. We had a wonderful relaxing...

Arkoudi itself is a small village with a beach and plenty of very good eating places - all in all, a perfect place where to have a holiday away from the ordinary crowded and sterile...
