We booked the Lintzi as a one night stop off before taking the ferry from Kyllini to Kefalonia the following day. We were initially going to return to another hotel in Kylinni which we had stayed at before. After staying at the Lintzi for one night, we absolutely made the right decision.||||Firstly the price was amazing for what we got. It is right off the main road (not noisey at all) so was easy to find. When we pulled up, the was no shortage or parking. We had a lovely welcome from the lady on reception, who checked us in really quickly and showed as up to our room. We were lucky enough to be allocated one of the comfort rooms, which was furnished to a very high standard with a lovely balcony a great view of the pool which went across some agricultural land across to the sea. Finally a large fridge as well! After being on the road for nearly twelve days, you would be amazed at the amount of simular hotels which do not have anywhere to chill anything. Some at nearly three times the price for a night! Although to be fair, refridgeration is pretty standard in Greece.||||It was very quiet at the hotel, due to still being very early on in the season. We did not check in until a bit later due to departing the ferry from Ancona to Patras, but still had a bit of time to try out the pool, which is a of a big size, spotless and plenty of sunbeds. These are under grass canopies and parasols if you wish. Whilst we did not use it, there was always a good stocked pool bar there as well.||||In terms of catering, there are tavernas near by. We used the one which was ajacent to the hotel across the road, which is owned by the brother-in law of the hotel owner. The food was excellent in here with great variety and all the traditional greek dishes. The village of Arkoudi is only a short ten minute walk away and is also worth a visit. A nice traditional greek village right off the sea. Theres also a small mini-market down here as well if you need to top up on any supplies.||||As mentioned, the room was really comforatble. Air conditioning I believe is also included in the price, although we just used the screen on the patio door to let the air through, as this was more than ample this time of year.||||A good breakfast was served in the morning. Plenty of pastries, fruit, cold meats and everything else you expect on a Greek breakfast. Lovely restaurant area to sit in, or you can go outside on the veranda.||||In summary, the Lintzi is a fantastic little find near the port of Kylinni. the people here also make it for us. Really welcoming, friendly and nothing too much trouble. We have also booked up to stay here again on our return from Kefalonia after four weeks, which I am equally looking forward too.||||Just book up, I don't think you will be...
Read moreWe booked this hotel just to be close to our friends staying at the nearby 4 star Grecotel resort. The latter was full so we decided to opt for this family run hotel as it was the closest. Our room 101 has been renovated, furnished with taste and what is of utmost importance for us, it was impeccably clean. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The garden surrounding the main building (a bit out-dated and non impressing at first sight) and the pool are a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was just OK with eggs, jams, honey, milk, cornflakes, beckon, cheese, juices and tea and coffee. I noticed that mainly German middle-aged and up tourists were in and around so do not expect to get fun activities there, but for a quiet family stay or as a base for exploring the nearby area, Lintzi is a perfect choice. Surprisingly it turned out that our room in Lintzi was much more better than the room our friends had at Grecotel :) Anyway Lintzi offers great value for money and for a 2 star hotel it is...
Read moreThe hotel is in a perfect location and very close to the beaches of Arkoudi. Not that you'll need it, with their perfect large swimming pool. ||The hotel and rooms are very clean. ||Loved the fact that the room had a fridge and the balcony had 3 types of sliding door. An external sliding door with that can be closed to keep out the early morning sunlight. A second sliding door that acts a mesh screen that lets in light and air, but keeps the mosquitoes out and finally a sliding glass sliding door. ||The hotel grounds are very beautiful, with lots of greenery, trees, flowers and all very well-maintained. ||The hotel owner, his family and staff were all very welcoming, friendly and always there if you need anything. ||There is also a restaurant a few metres away, across the road, run by the same family. All in all, a perfect stay and added to my must...
