We spent around a week here whilst attending a destination wedding, from arrival to departure everything was absolutely perfect. Our host went above and beyond firstly welcoming us to the villa with a tour and showing us the long list of amenities available, this was despite a delayed flight causing us to arrive after midnight. Communication beyond that was also great, he went on to provide further information about the area via WhatsApp and responded quickly to any queries we had, when we did come across the 1 and only issues he came out within a few hours of making him aware and resolved this. We had a party of 4 adults and 4 children but there was plenty of room in every possible regard with large bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and multiple living areas/balconies to relax together or separately as smaller groups and pairs. The pool and garden was clean and private, the furniture inside was modern and comfortable alongside a kitchen equipped with the necessities and additional luxuries such as the coffee machine and filtered tap, on top of all this our host even provided some essentials for our arrival along with a few local treats that were perfect considering our late arrival and busy schedule.
I would recommend this villa to any families and small groups and can say with complete confidence you will not be disappointed, I would stay here again if I ever return to Crete.
The only reason I didn’t put 5* on location, the villa does sit on a very steep hill which might be a problem for a small amount of people (elderly/health issues). Within a 5/10 minute walk you can get to a lovely beach and the local shop, which was equipped with everything you could possibly need, beyond this however you would need to venture further and it might be best renting a car. The Crete version of Uber was not as readily available in the area as I expected and the taxi fares can add up, becoming quite expensive, but I suppose all that’s more down to my lack of prior research than anything else.
Once again thanks for having us, everything was greatly appreciated and helped make a hectic week a lot...

From the moment we booked, to the moment we checked out, our host Vasso was very attentive, and made sure that everything was perfect. She showed us what greek hospitality really means!
The villa also went over our expectations : recently renovated, with a crazy attention to detail, it’s the perfect place for a group of friends / family. For the first couple of days we barely went out, because the pool had just the right temperature :) The rooms were all very nicely designed, they all had comfortable mattresses, and AC (quite a necessity for those hot summer nights). The kitchen is well equipped, so you’re able to cook for yourself and your friends/family.
There’s a pretty big supermarket a couple hundred meters from the villa, where you can get almost anything at a very reasonable price. There are also a couple of coffee & snack shops and tavernas in walking distance. Sfakaki’s beach is also really close, and has one of the warmest sea waters that we’ve ever experienced!
The villa is in a really nice location, so it’s a great home base for various trips around Crete. It’s right between Chania & Heraklion, so it’s easy to do day trips to these cities, or the beaches around them. Rethymno is within a short car ride, where you’ll find all kinds of great restaurants, shops, bars, and even a great beach.
Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a relaxing...
Read moreOur stay at the Airbnb in Rethymnon was amazing! The house was perfect for our group of four couples, with four spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. We had plenty of room to hang out in various seating areas, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, including filtered water.
The air conditioning in every room was a big plus, and it worked quietly, which was great for getting a good night's sleep. The best part was our hostess, who was incredibly welcoming. She had a lovely package for us when we arrived, complete with fresh fruits. And the highlight was definitely the delicious home-cooked Greek lunch made by her grandmother – it felt like a true local experience.
The location of the house was ideal, just a short 500-meter walk to a beautiful public beach where we often had the place almost to ourselves. The small swimming pool on the property was a fun addition, and we enjoyed it a lot.
Having a supermarket just 200 meters away was super convenient, and we even ventured into Rethymnon's old city, which was a 15-20 minute drive. Getting around was easy, and we found it simple to take the bus into town.
While having a car was handy for shopping and exploring other nearby beaches, we found the house's location to be pretty convenient overall. We really loved both the house and the area, and we're really grateful for such a wonderful...
